Edgar pulled up the corners of his mouth and turned away. Shortly after, with a ‘thwack!’ as the racket hit the ball, the game began.

My goodness! Who is that?

Elaine’s eyes widened in shock.

Famous Edgar Lancaster Lancelot and Olivia Blanchett playing together.

When Ann visited Elaine’s room, she had just finished dressing. Elaine wasn’t one to rush someone over being ten minutes late, so she wondered what the issue was.

“Add a little whiskey to the lemon water, just enough for the scent.”

While instructing the waiter filling her empty glass, her gaze remained on the tennis court.

She didn’t know when the match started, but it couldn’t have been long. The scoreboard showed Edgar already leading by three games.

To Elaine, even though she wasn’t a tennis expert, it was clear one side was deliberately going easy on the other. It seemed like playing with caught prey, yet not forgetting to show gentlemanly grace by giving points.

“Forty!”

The score was now 5 to 1. Olivia, who had conceded another game, approached the bench.

“What happened?”

Elaine handed Olivia a towel, taking it from Ann.

“Just as you see.”

Olivia, red-faced, answered bitterly. She wiped sweat from her forehead and drank ice water. As she started unbuttoning her blouse, a horrified Ann grabbed her hand.

“No, Miss.”

Ann quickly buttoned up two buttons and fanned Olivia’s hands. Her cheeks remained flushed despite the cooling.

“Did you make a bet?”

“How did you know?”

A surprised Olivia asked, rubbing her cheeks with the ice-filled glass.

“It’s written all over your face. I won’t lose!”
The two exchanged laughs as they faced each other. Then, the sound of a whistle signaling the end of the break echoed through the quiet hotel grounds.

“Spending your morning here, you traitor.”

Rogues who had spent the night drinking at the hotel club sauntered over, settling around Edgar. Still reeking of last night’s alcohol, they habitually ordered whiskey sodas.

“Isn’t it a bit unfair to play against a woman?”

Edgar silently observed Olivia, then chuckled quietly. It was his first time playing tennis with a woman.

He hadn’t known such pleasure before. It was incomparable to the joys of the bedroom.

“Hey, did a ball hit your head?”

Olivia’s brown hair, tied with a blue ribbon, bounced around. Holding a racket seemed to make her lively. And that scream…

Unexpectedly, Edgar burst into laughter.

“We lost the money, why are you going crazy?”

Amid the worried lamentations of the rakes who had squandered their wealth in yesterday’s card game, the whistle sounded again.

Now, shall we go make a wish?

Edgar, unfolding his long legs, slowly stood up, his gaze fixed ahead.

Olivia, walking off the court, fluttered in her pristine white skirt, her soft hair waving in the spring breeze scented with flowers. She seemed like a fairy on the tennis court – a fiery fairy.

Moments later.

Edgar, who had been playing the game nonchalantly, was taken aback.

Olivia had changed.

Her returns got faster. Moreover, her aggressive serves started throwing off his predictions.

Ah! The lady who dislikes gambling now gambles with curveballs.

Edgar, flustered by his own errors, gripped his racket tighter. He wanted to applaud her unwavering will to strike back every ball sent to her side.

With the score at 5-2, whoever won the next game would win the match. Edgar had planned to finish it quickly, but…

Oops!

Olivia, bouncing the ball as a habit before serving, suddenly started unbuttoning her blouse.

Behind Olivia, her maid gasped in shock, while whistles from the rakes behind Edgar filled the green lawn.

Ah!

Edgar gasped in amazement, his breath rough.

Olivia kicked off her light pink shoes, throwing them out of the court.

Excited whistles mixed with the maid’s distressed cries of “Miss!” filled the air.

Cold Male Lead Became My Clingy Husband (Female-Dominant)

Feng Bai Su transmigrated into a matriarchal novel, becoming the sister of the female protagonist and the Seventh Princess of the Feng Ling Kingdom.

After working herself to death in her previous life, finally reincarnating as a princess, she only wanted to be a lazy fish who could eat, sleep, and play.

Until she met the male protagonist from the book, Wei Jing Mo, and he took a liking to her!

Wei Jing Mo is the top young man in Feng Ling City, talented in both appearance and ability, from a prestigious family, with a cold and otherworldly appearance, a figure like the bright moon in the hearts of noble ladies. It was thought that only the most powerful and talented noble lady in Feng Ling City would be worthy of such a brilliant young man. Who knew that this young gentleman would secretly admire the infamous Seventh Princess?

Short scene 1:

Feng Bai Su looked at the young man crying like a pear blossom in the rain before her, and couldn’t help but doubt her life.

Wasn’t the male lead described as a cold and otherworldly figure in the book?

Then who was this poor little thing crying with swollen red eyes and tear-stained face?

Short scene 2:

Wei Jing Mo stared intently at Feng Bai Su who was about to go out, wanting to say, “Be careful on the road.”

Before he could speak, Feng Bai Su suddenly bent down and bit his cheek.

Her peach blossom eyes were full of disdain: “Tsk! You’re so clingy!”

Wei Jing Mo: “…”

A talented fox spirit female lead with a flirtatious appearance but actually abstinent VS A cold-looking but actually naive and clingy little jealous male lead
