“……What on earth is that woman?”

Anblin chewed on her red lips.

That woman.

Edgar slowly closed his eyes. Taking a deep breath, he opened his eyes slowly.

“My. Checkmate.”

Edgar, who had run out of patience, muttered quietly.

“So tell me. Where is she?”

He tried to harm the officially sponsored player of the Ranslot Saga. How dare he. So, his anger was a perfectly natural reaction.

The carriage was leaving the city and racing along the riverside.

As the carriage, which had been slowing down, suddenly came to a stop, Olivia, puzzled by the early arrival, lifted the curtain slightly.

It wasn’t in front of her house.

“What’s happening. Uh.”

Turning her head towards the side window and speaking, a large hand with black leather gloves intruded through the window and blocked Olivia’s mouth.

“Ugh.”

It happened in an instant.

Although she tried to tear away the vicious hand with all her might, she didn’t even blink. Her heart pounded as if it would burst.

Raising her fingernails, she fiercely clawed the man’s wrist, struggling.

Ugh! The flesh tore, and blood oozed from the man’s wrist.

Damn it. The man’s hand, which had been cursing, lost its strength in an instant. In that gap, Olivia bit the man’s finger.

“Ack!”

Screaming, he pulled back his wrist, which Olivia promptly grabbed.

She pulled with all her might. At the moment the thug’s armpit got caught in the window, she forcefully bent his arm outward.

Uwaaaah! Along with the ear-piercing scream, Olivia’s vision wavered.

Due to the weak anesthesia, her movements became increasingly sluggish.

No, no.

Struggling to stand, Olivia, who had just stood up, collapsed in place without taking a step.

Her inverted vision blurred. The red sun gradually faded as the fallen Vichen River water became cloudy, and soon her consciousness was cut off.

Johan was in the cigar room with Prince Britt. Prince Mikhail and some alumni from the Britt Royal University were also present.

“I can’t see Edgar. Is he not coming?”

“The Dublin Championship is just around the corner. He must be busy.”

Prince Mikhail replied to the prince’s question, emitting a long puff of smoke.

“By the way, Princess Anblin needs to calm down a bit.”

Mikhail glanced at Johan, throwing out the topic while looking at Johan.

“Why. Is Blanchett’s skill that good?”

If it were about my sister, the prince, who couldn’t move an inch, looked at Mikhail with a cigarette in his mouth.

“Russell Junior was like a dog following her.”

The chuckling sound echoed in the smoky space.

While everyone was in good spirits, Johan withdrew his gaze from the window and stood up from his seat.

“What about you, Hyung? Who are you going to bet on?”
Mikhail smiled slyly as he looked at Johan.

Pathetic guy.

Johan, who exchanged insults with his eyes, lightly saluted the prince and came outside. As the party matured, the lights became brighter.

Passing through the long corridor adorned with crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, Johan’s gaze towards the banquet hall was sharp.

The anticipated moment had an unmatched excitement.

Wherever he went, Olivia, Olivia.

Olivia Blanchett.

Taking a long sigh, at the end of Johan’s sight as he was about to enter the hall, Edgar appeared.

His long eyes narrowed. Ashen eyes slowly scanned around Edgar.

Olivia wasn’t in sight.

Edgar was in conversation with his former lover.

Even though he felt relieved, his feelings were peculiar.

A woman who had been writhing in a corner of the splendid party venue came to mind.

If she were there, she would have rounded her small shoulders and followed meekly. She was a pitiful woman who persisted even though she would eventually break into pieces.

‘Because you’re my wife. Let me take you with me. Without embarrassment… I’ll do well as I’ve learned.’

What did she learn from Diane Brook? Did that woman teach her properly?

Back then, I didn’t know, but recalling the newly learned truths made my blood boil.

Thinking of my wife, who was crying with reddened eyes, stuck in the dark terrace, my heart throbbed again.

As he habitually looked down at his watch, Morris hurriedly approached.

Amid the noisy music, Morris whispered something into Johan’s ear. Johan’s blue eyes sank deep.

The employee holding a silver tray approached at that moment.

“Princess Krantz would like to see you briefly.”

The hotel-conquering employee spoke politely. Johan’s forehead slightly furrowed.

He raised his gaze, quickly scanning the wide hall.

“Where is she?”

“She said she’s in room 3016.”

“Did she ask for it herself?”

The employee hesitated, lowering his gaze.

“Her lady-in-waiting mentioned it.”

With a nod suggesting that he could go, Johan gestured to Morris. Morris followed the employee.

If Princess Krantz called Johan, it should be her suite or his office. That was logical.

Room 3016…

I don’t know who, for what purpose, is planning something, but…

When male lead is the homewrecker

“I know she doesn’t love him.”

I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!

The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.

Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.

The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.

I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.

There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.

For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.

I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.

Here’s the story synopsis:

One-line summary: She is his lifelong obsession, to the point where he was willing to be a third wheel, scorned by society, just to wedge his way into her relationship with her fiancé.

Cold-hearted and indifferent female lead + Scheming and subservient CEO male lead

Intro 1:

“I know she doesn’t love him.”

With blood trickling from his clenched fist, Rong Xiu gazed at the woman before him, his eyes clouded with anguish. Hidden in the wardrobe, he had witnessed Fan Xia – the woman he desperately loved – in an intimate embrace with her fiancé. Yet his heart still yearned for her, defying all reason.

Fan Xia, the elegant and composed assistant, carried something mysterious in her eyes whenever she looked at her fiancé, Wen Lan Sheng. Strange occurrences began to surface – secret meetings with the young Gu Jin Yi, an unexplained withdrawal of 5,000 yuan… Then suddenly, her fiancé’s sister, Wen Jing, violently attacked her.

In this matriarchal society, Rong Xiu had risen to become the chairman of a powerful healthcare conglomerate, breaking through gender prejudices. But for the first time, he willingly stepped into the shadows as the other man, disregarding his friends’ warnings to become her secret lover.

Because he had discovered the truth – Fan Xia wasn’t the pure angel everyone believed her to be. And perhaps, he was the only one capable of helping her execute her mysterious plan…

Intro 2:

Rong Xiu’s biggest regret in life was missing out on Fan Xia.

He secretly loved Fan Xia for 7 years.

Watched her go public with her boyfriend.

Watched her kiss her boyfriend at their wedding.

Until that man blissfully nestled in Fan Xia’s arms, obtaining everything he could only dream of.

The crazy jealousy stripped away his hidden secret love, layer by layer, burning like wildfire.

Fan Xia, how can I have you!
