All My Firsts Are You (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 6
The sunlight hitting the second floor felt unusually quick to grow hot.
Lying still on my bed on the second floor, I felt a faint warmth seeping through my skin where it touched the sheets, making me sticky with sweat.
I began to feel dizzy, as if I were melting right into the bed. When that heat finally rose up to my neck, I sat up.
From the white dresser tucked into the corner of the room like it belonged there, I pulled out fresh clothes to change into.
Since it was an old house, there was only one shower on the first floor. I’d dozed off slightly before getting up, but I hadn’t heard Jun come in, so the shower was probably empty by now.
I passed through the empty living room and headed downstairs to the shower. Almost at the door, I reached for the handle while unbuttoning one button of my short-sleeve shirt.
But at that exact moment, a strong body wash scent and a wave of hot steam began wrapping around my whole body.
Instinctively, I tilted my head up slightly—and there was Jun, just finishing his shower, towel-drying his hair as he stepped out. He looked down at me with a startled expression. Yet even in that awkward moment, the hot steam pouring out from the shower made my face flush instantly.
Too embarrassed to meet his gaze, I quickly looked down—unintentionally, my eyes landed on Jun’s broad chest, flushed pink and damp from the hot water, and his sweatpants precariously hanging just at his hips.
I couldn’t keep staring so blatantly, so I lifted my head again. Jun was looking down at me, his mouth slightly open, just as flustered as I was.
I tried to hurry away, turning my body—but my wrist was caught immediately.
“Sorry. I didn’t know you were here. You came down to use the shower, right? Go ahead.”
With only those words, Jun roughly ran the towel through his hair once more and headed back upstairs. Even after he disappeared from view, my reddened cheeks refused to return to their normal color.
After showering, I combed through my still-damp hair with my fingers and took a couple of steps forward.
My eyes naturally drifted toward the living room. Jun had slid the shoji door wide open and was sitting right in front of it.
Sunlight glinted off Jun’s wet hair and body as he sat there.
I was about to walk past when I hesitated—and changed direction, stepping diagonally toward him. Before Jun could even turn to look behind him, I’d already sat down beside him.
I spotted a half-finished glass of orange juice. To ease the awkward silence, I picked it up as if that had been my intention all along and took a sip. The cool, sweet liquid sliding down my throat felt wonderful. As soon as I set the glass down, I licked my upper lip, suddenly missing the taste.
At that moment, our eyes met. His widened slightly as he looked down at me, and his gaze tickled my skin.
“If you wanted some, you could’ve just said so. I would’ve poured you a fresh glass.”
“The juice in this cup just looked really good.”
I quickly looked away from Jun’s eyes.
“What were you doing here?”
Outside where the shoji door had been, sparse green trees swayed gently in the breeze.
“What does it look like I’m doing?”
“Nothing…”
“Oh, right. That’s exactly what I was doing.”
“What kind of answer is that?”
Jun looked at me and smiled brightly.
“Well then, should I play some music? Is there a song you want to hear?”
Jun pulled out his phone and scrolled steadily with his thumb as he asked. At the word “song,” a particular tune instantly popped into my head.
“Oh, well… there’s actually one song I really love.”
“What is it?”
Jun kept his eyes on the screen and asked flatly.
“It’s kind of old, but I love both the lyrics and melody so much I’ve memorized it—even though it’s in Japanese.”
“If Lee Ha Ru, who barely speaks a word of Japanese, memorized it, it must be a real masterpiece.”
Jun placed both palms on his phone screen and stared at me expectantly, gesturing for me to name the song.
“Um… it’s called ‘Sweet Melody.’”
“Oh, that one. I like it too.”
Jun glanced briefly at my face, then tapped play right away. Soon, the familiar lyrics I knew so well began shimmering through the air, dancing along with the sunlight.
Jun stretched his arms behind him for support and closed his eyes.
“This really is perfect for a day like today.”
He gently swayed his head to the rhythm, clearly enjoying it despite my bruised pride.
True, I barely spoke any Japanese as Jun pointed out—but I’d still memorized every word of this song’s lyrics from start to finish.
At first, I’d just hummed along mindlessly thanks to constant replays, never even understanding the meaning. But gradually, I became curious about what the sweet melody was actually saying.
Eventually, this became the only Japanese song I’d ever fully memorized—not just the meaning, but even the precise pronunciation—by studying the lyric booklet.
Just then, nearing the end of the first verse, my favorite lyric reached my ears:
[The moment your lips touch mine—so sweet I feel like I can’t breathe.]“Jun.”
“Hmm?”
Trending
“Is it really like that?”
“Like what?”
“The lyrics sound abstract when you just hear them sung. Is it really how it feels?”
“What exactly?”
“Those lyrics.”
“…Ah. About the lips touching and all that?”
“Yeah. They say when your lips meet, it’s so sweet you feel like you can’t breathe.”
“…”
“I’m kind of curious.”
Jun, who had been listening to the music idly, slowly opened his eyes and turned his head toward me. His calm, unreadable gaze settled softly on my face.
“…I don’t know.”
He immediately looked away. The next line of the song filled the silence between us:
[Right now, only this moment.]Maybe I’d simply surrendered too completely to the spring sunlight flooding through the wide-open window, thick with heat. Or perhaps I’d already been intoxicated by the sweet orange juice Jun had half-finished.
I took in Jun’s lovely face, his long eyelashes casting soft shadows. Quietly, I moved to sit right in front of him.
With both hands, I gripped the collar of the white shirt he was wearing and pulled him sharply toward me. In that split second, my heart pounded so wildly I almost panicked—was it really okay to feel this much?
Jun, caught off guard, couldn’t react in time. His body instantly leaned toward me. Without missing the timing, I closed my eyes tightly and pressed my lips to his. In an instant, my lips met his.
His lips were far softer than I’d imagined, and unconsciously, my mouth parted slightly. Oddly enough, all the tension in my body melted away immediately. It felt like I’d just used up every ounce of courage I possessed.
I released Jun’s stiff collar from my grip. Our lips, which had fit together so naturally, slowly parted, leaving behind a sweet sense of longing. With the lingering taste still on my lips, I murmured,
“Really sweet…”
At that moment, I felt a gentle hand cradling the back of my neck. Our lips, which had just pulled apart, met again.
My lips, which had started to close slowly, quickly opened once more. Through the slight gap, a soft, yielding sensation and gentle movement swept through me, leaving me completely dazed.
The cool scent of orange juice I’d just drunk filled my mouth. As Jun tilted his head slightly, the orange flavor inside deepened further.
When our lips finally parted—still sticky from the juice—Jun’s warm breath brushed against my nose. With lips still warm from the kiss, he said,
“Too sweet.”
Not quite understanding, I just parted my lips slightly. The corners of Jun’s mouth lifted faintly.
“I said… too sweet.”
Sometime during this, the music had stopped playing.
Only then did I start noticing other sounds—the gentle hiss of steam rising from the coffee pot on the kitchen table, and the clear, occasional tinkling of the wind chime hung just outside the living room door, shortened to chime softly.
Even then, the clear sunlight continued pouring through the wide-open window, shining brightly over us—
Honestly, without the slightest bit of tact.

“Oh, I picked wrong. This tastes like nothing but shaved ice with blue food coloring on top. Wow, the packaging photo was total clickbait. Ugh, I spent so long agonizing over this choice… Ugh…”
Hyun Su had just moments ago been enthusiastically picking out ice cream from the box next to me.
Unbothered by how embarrassing he looked in front of the kids picking ice cream with us, he rustled through the box loudly until he finally yanked one out as if drawing lots.
Jung Eun and I, already holding steady classics—vanilla ice cream—just shook our heads and stood apart from Hyun Su. We didn’t need to make it obvious to passersby that we were with him.
Behind the low, flimsy wall that barely shielded half the convenience store stood a single wooden bench. After paying for the ice creams—including those for the village kids who’d been choosing alongside us—our trio sat down on the bench, each holding an ice cream to our mouths.
We’d originally planned to just grab a cup of yuja tea and leave quickly. But while riding in the car, nausea had kept the mountain ridges and bamboo groves from catching my eye—now, they suddenly appeared vividly before us. Without prior agreement, our steps naturally diverted from the car toward the bench instead.
“Ha Ru noona, wanna trade bites with me?”
“I was standing right next to you when you kept complaining how badly you’d chosen.”
“…No, I was just testing the waters.”
“Kim Hyun Su, stop it. You picked it yourself—don’t keep trying to pawn it off on others. They wouldn’t sell it as ice cream if nobody actually liked it.”
Fed up with Hyun Su’s antics, Jung Eun finally snapped at him.
“That’s true—they wouldn’t sell it if people didn’t like it. So maybe it’d suit your taste, Jung Eun noona. Wanna try swapping?”
Hyun Su remained stubborn. Jung Eun responded by just sucking vigorously on her ice cream.
Though it was a remote mountain village with few passing cars, villagers occasionally visited this store.
The shopkeeper grandmother, who had greeted us earlier with only a faint smile, was now chatting warmly with new customers—her voice carried all the way to our bench.
“Now that I think about it—back when we were reviewing submissions for ‘Where Is Your First Love?’”
“Oh, yeah.”
“Remember when we didn’t know it was your story, Ha Ru noona, and we were all discussing whether to put it in the final round? You kept making silly nitpicks because you secretly hoped it wouldn’t get selected, but you’re way too shy to say it outright. And everyone just gave totally indifferent reactions. Now that I think back, it’s actually hilarious.”

“…”
“Wow, noona, why are you glaring at me again? It wasn’t me who secretly submitted your story—it was Jung Eun noona!”
“That’s true—but why do I always end up annoyed at you when I hear that story?”
“It’s a habit—a really bad one. Now that you’re aware of it, maybe try fixing it, noona.”
While we exchanged idle banter, Jung Eun, who’d secretly submitted my first-love story, stayed completely silent.
But truthfully, I’d never actually been mad at Jung Eun. If anything, I felt grateful—she’d given me a beautiful chance to neatly preserve that old memory of my first love.
Just as I was about to nod and offer her a bite of my vanilla ice cream in response to Hyun Su’s apologetic request, he suddenly stopped mid-reach and pointed toward the road, his voice startled.
“Huh? Ha Ru noona, look over there.”
“Hmm?”
When yandere male lead believes she loves him — but she never did
“How dare you!”
“How dare you make me love you, only to cast me aside as nothing more than a friend?!?
“I will never accept that.”
“I will never let you return to him.”
“Even if I have to burn myself to ashes.”
“Even if I must shatter my purity, my dignity, my very soul.”
“I will never let you escape me!”

This was the first novel that introduced me to the matriarchal genre. I’ve read it three times already!
At first, the male lead despised the female lead. Later, he misunderstood that she liked him, so he condescendingly and reluctantly reciprocated her feelings.
Then, he suddenly discovered that she was kind to everyone in the same way, and there was already someone she cherished in her heart, and that person was not him.
The male lead couldn’t believe it, he became angry and crazy. He was determined to capture her body and heart by any means necessary.
