Outside the window, the refreshing trees sway in the gentle breeze, surrendering their bodies to the airy wind. Amidst the swaying leaves, a green fragrance wafts through the air with every breath I take.
At the end of the bed, forming a part of this tranquil scenery, Joon and I sat facing each other.
The day before returning to Korea.
As the season transitioned from spring to summer, we, like the rising heat, decided to lean our bodies in that direction.
Joon’s dark brown hair, just out of the shower, sparkled as it met the sunlight. The wind gently tousled Joon’s bangs, causing them to flutter on his forehead.
As if promising not to miss any piece of emotion hidden in any corner of my face, Joon’s warm gaze slowly roamed around, and I found myself unable to find a place to direct my eyes.
“Speechless.”
The first words I uttered in my tense state.
“What should I say?”
“Just anything. If not, then something else…”

At that moment, Joon covered my lips with his. Joon, who continuously embraced my lips, when did they become so warm?
However, such thoughts were fleeting. Joon’s kiss delved deeper, more rough than expected, penetrating into me. It felt so distant that I couldn’t continue those thoughts.
Since a while ago, Joon’s hands had been wandering around the first button of my blouse. Whether it didn’t come undone easily or not, Joon eventually detached his lips and lowered his gaze a bit below my face. Unknowingly, I let out a hot breath all at once.
Joon’s two hands touched my blouse button. The top button finally came loose. Joon’s hand, hurrying for the next, was felt.
Unable to resist the next button, it clicked. And then the next, and the next… Unconsciously, I tightened the already closed eyes even more. The cool air came in through the opened gap.
With the hot breath settling on my lips again, Joon’s hands began to enter the round territory that had never been touched before. Instinctively huddling and finding a place to rely on, I embraced Joon’s waist.
“Haru-ya, Kim Joon. Are both of you in the room?”
It was Jin-ee’s voice. My closed eyes opened wide. I met Joon’s slightly trembling eyes. In that instant, it seemed like I should take care of it first, and Joon hastily picked up my blouse, which had spilled onto the bed.
It wasn’t just me who was undressed. It wasn’t the time for that. I whispered, as if telling him I’d handle it myself, urging him to leave.
Getting up from the bed, Joon, belatedly realizing how absurd the situation was, let out a bewildered laugh. Then, using both hands, he gently kissed my cheek and headed towards his room.

In the meantime, Jin-ee’s voice echoed in my ears once again.
“Where did these two go? They didn’t even come out.”
The trembling fingers kept missing the buttonhole as I tried to insert the button. At this rate, I became anxious, thinking that Jin-ee unni might come upstairs any moment.
“Stop calling. She might not come out easily.”
Jun, who only needed to put on a shirt, opened and exited the room in a neat appearance, faster than me.
Before going down the stairs, Jun turned his head towards me, lightly smiling as if reviewing the humorous conclusion of the secret we just created. Then, as if saying he’s going now, he descended the stairs, pretending to be upset.
“Unni, sorry. I was changing clothes.”
The residual heat between Jun and me that existed a moment ago might still be somewhere on my face. With such unnecessary worries, I went downstairs.
I met Jin-ee unni’s pure gaze, which couldn’t have imagined what had just happened between us. In that moment, my cheeks began to burn uncontrollably again.
Without the satisfaction of having cooled down my face a bit earlier, it was all in vain.
I woke up to the soft touch that stirred my mouth.

The room, which was filled with bright sunlight in my memory just a while ago, was now dark without a single ray of sunlight.
Relying on the faint moonlight falling like auroras, Jun, with long eyelashes lowered and moving his head slowly as if savoring my lips, was visible.
I closed my eyes again. I wanted to watch Jun for a longer time, but, as always, Jun’s kisses quickly covered any thoughts beyond the sensation.
The Jun from a moment ago would easily get excited just from a kiss. Both the kiss and the touch felt somewhat urgent and intense, like someone who doesn’t know how to control the quickly rising sensation.
The current Jun was different. He moved gently, not pushing too hard or hurrying, showing a mature warmth in every touch.
Jun pressed his lips to mine and skillfully pulled the second button of the blouse, which hung under my collarbone. Then, the next, and the next—too easily by Jun’s touch, a brisk sound.
After lifting his lips from mine, Jun slowly opened his eyes. A faint smile, like moonlight, gently settled on his lips.
“That’s enough for today.”
Perhaps Jun, too, was recalling the memories of that day nine years ago while kissing me.

After finally clearing out the scum from her sect, she was drugged again while trying to detoxify.
After waking up from a night of unconsciousness, she gained a “beautiful and kind-hearted” husband.
Xin Jiao Zhou: “???”
He fell ill.
She came to see him, bringing breakfast.
As she put down the breakfast and was about to leave, his hand slipped while holding the spoon. “Clank!”
She turned around upon hearing the noise.
He looked up at her, his eyebrows drooping: “My hand… has no strength.”
“Shall I… feed you?” she asked tentatively.
He opened his mouth cheerfully: “Ah—”
Thinking she was drowning, he jumped in without hesitation to save her, but nearly drowned himself. In the end, it was she who swam over to rescue him, giving him air underwater.
After emerging from the water, his ear tips turned red. He lightly brushed his cheek, tucking his sideburns behind his ear, revealing delicate, pink-tinged ear tips. He lowered his gaze, too embarrassed to look at her.
Xin Jiao Zhou: He’s truly beautiful, kind-hearted, and adorable.
