Tae Seo was a hunter who knew how to bide his time, someone who enjoyed watching his prey fall right into the trap. And now, at least when it came to Yoon Jae In, he’d learned he could be patient and wait.

“What are you scheming now?”

“I already told you—I’m just trying to bring her over gently.”

“Are you even bringing her over at all?”

“Didn’t you say winning her heart comes first?”

Tae Seo turned toward the door at the expected knock. Without waiting for his reply, Executive Director Jang handed him the documents—exactly what he’d been waiting for all morning.

“Anyway, please do it that way.”

“Fine. I’ll hang up now.”

After ending the call with Madam Lim Hong Jin, Tae Seo picked up a fairly thick file. It was so packed with content that he couldn’t help letting out a low whistle.

“Managing Director, I really need some credit this time. I went through hell for this.”

“You’ve done great work. Whether it’s comfort or praise, you know I’m not the type who only offers words.”

“Thank you. I’ll look forward to it.”

“I’ll make sure your expectations are met. For the next thirty minutes, don’t put any calls through.”
