Had he finally started to take interest in a woman?
After a moment’s thought, Tae Seo denied the idea he had raised himself. He had already been interested in a woman. Since a long time ago, from the time he met Yoon Jae In at a Bali resort. So the proposition had to change.
Had he now become unable to ignore his interest in Yoon Jae In?
In front of the most likely proposition, Tae Seo’s expression became serious. If that was really the case, he had to leave this place quickly.
He couldn’t give the impression of casually approaching. The woman leading his gaze and heart was only Yoon Jae In. He didn’t want to get slapped by such a person.
“Excuse me, are you okay?”
“Yes, I’m fine.”
“I thought you looked familiar, no matter how I think about it. If I disturbed you, I’m sorry.”
The woman smiled as she tucked her long wavy hair behind her ear. Her thick lips curved beautifully. Her figure, seemingly only beautiful, was etched into his eyes.
“Ah.”
It was then that Tae Seo realized he had unhesitatingly brought up the expression that she was pretty. Come to think of it, he had also said the person who gave flowers at the company was pretty when he asked Director Jang to keep the flower alive.
“I’m crazy, really.”
Tae Seo mumbled to himself and covered his eyes with his hands.
Why was he behaving differently in front of this woman? What was wrong with his head?
But soon he changed his thoughts.

What’s wrong with calling a pretty thing pretty? He hadn’t thought of her as lovely, or of wanting to run away with her, so there was nothing strange.
“Huh……?”
Tae Seo saw through the gaps in his fingers that Jae In’s catlike eyes grew as large as a rabbit’s. It felt cute again and he let out a chuckle. It must have been a spreading laugh.
“No, not at all. But what’s going on?”
Looking at the woman furrowing her delicate eyebrows, Tae Seo exerted force on the corners of his mouth that were showing signs of delight. It was time to focus on reality.
“Do you not remember me?”
“Hmm…”
Confronted with an unexpected situation, Tae Seo focused more than ever before. It was a time to be cautious.
Jae In had taken the initiative to pretend to know him. In the midst of his pleasure, he felt surprise. It was because he had seen her perfectly repelling numerous men approaching her in Bali.
But why? Why was she pretending to know me first?
Tae Seo looked intently at the woman who was examining his reaction with narrowed eyes. He was curious about her intentions.
“We have met before.”
“Yes.”
Tae Seo pondered. Should he match the woman’s pace and start a relationship with joy, or should he hide his interest in her and pretend not to know her. Was this an opportunity or a trap?
From what he had learned in advance, Jae In disliked men. It was understandable since she had been through countless unpleasant experiences. So, if she found out he was interested in her, there was a high chance she might feel burdened or choked.
In the midst of his intense deliberation, Tae Seo raised one eyebrow with force. He decided to treat Jae In as he would any other woman who approached him.

“Isn’t that too common a ploy?”
“No, really. Didn’t you come to the wrong room at the hospital a few days ago?”
“Ah… Ah, that bouquet?”
“Yes! That’s right!”
Jae In smiled brightly with the pleasure of Tae Seo finally recognizing her. At that moment, Tae Seo’s determination to pretend not to know her was foiled, and the laughter he had been holding back burst forth.
The café brightened when Jae In smiled. Tae Seo felt as if all that light had poured into his mind, and it tickled him immensely.
While facing each other and laughing, Tae Seo momentarily wondered if Christmas carols were playing in the café. He was certain because he could hear the jingle of bells in his ears. However, the music flowing in the café was a serene classic.
When had he heard these bells again? He was sure he’d heard them before.
“Huh…?”
Jae In looked at Tae Seo with puzzled eyes as he let out a sudden sigh of realization.
Tae Seo recalled the bell sound that echoed in his ears like tinnitus. His vision had whitened, his heart raced abnormally, and he had broken out in cold sweat. At that time, like now, Yoon Jae In was in front of him.
The wind in Bali was particularly calm that day. Disappointed after confirming the calm waves, Tae Seo turned around holding his surfboard. With nothing left to do, he strolled slowly around the resort and was drawn to the noise of rowdy children.
{Jane, I’m trying to concentrate, but Ethan keeps bothering me!}
{Ollie started it first!}
Jae In was where the children had gathered. That was their third meeting. Well, in fact, it couldn’t really be called a meeting. The previous two encounters were brief moments that only Tae Seo remembered.
I met her again. I see her often. He thought like this and was about to turn around. But that day, Tae Seo couldn’t take his eyes off Jae In, who kept catching his gaze.

When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
