Da Hyun picked up the maternity notebook lying on Yul’s desk. She looked at the ultrasound photo stuck inside the notebook at least once a day.

Ever since her memories returned, she hadn’t been able to go back to the obstetrics clinic. Just looking at the ultrasound made her feel like bursting into tears from guilt.

Da Hyun messaged Kim Yoon Hee, asking to meet at a café near Yul’s house in three hours, after considering how long it would take her to get there.

An hour had already passed since she sent the message to Kim Yoon Hee. Da Hyun was already fully prepared.

She couldn’t just sit still while waiting for their meeting time.

It was practically a fraudulent marriage. But if Min Hyuk had stayed silent out of fear that she’d leave him immediately upon learning the truth, she could understand, at least a little, why he’d made that choice.

She considered calling Min Hyuk after ending the call with Kim Yoon Hee, but ultimately decided against it.

It felt ridiculous—Min Hyuk hadn’t contacted her even once, yet here she was, thinking of reaching out to him suddenly.

He seemed to be doing perfectly fine, making her earlier worries seem embarrassingly unnecessary. There had been a reason he’d so confidently insisted he had no relationship with Kim Yoon Hee—his unwavering gaze, the quiet sorrow in his plea for her to trust him, all of which she’d deliberately ignored.

Though she’d been stunned into daze after hearing Kim Yoon Hee’s bombshell confession, she tried her best to accept it calmly.

She wondered what she would’ve done if she were in Min Hyuk’s place. She also wanted to understand why Su Cheol had personally intervened.
