When Da Hyun opened her eyes and checked the time, it was already long past when Min Hyuk should have come home.

Although troubled because of Ji Yeon, she couldn’t fight off her sleepiness due to her pregnancy.

The queasiness in her stomach had become familiar by now—so much so that she’d actually worry if her stomach felt too comfortable.

“But why does my chest feel so tight?”

Da Hyun clenched her fist and lightly tapped her chest.

It was because she’d been chewing over Ji Yeon’s words right before falling asleep.

She’d told herself to focus on prenatal care, yet in the end, she hadn’t managed to do it properly.

Still feeling uneasy, Da Hyun got out of bed and picked up her mobile phone.

Checking it, she saw numerous messages and missed calls from Min Hyuk throughout the afternoon.

Ji Yeon’s number appeared sporadically as well.

Without even reading Ji Yeon’s messages, Da Hyun deleted them.

She didn’t want to feel bad again the moment she woke up.

Leaving the bedroom, Da Hyun dialed Min Hyuk and headed downstairs to the first floor.

“He hasn’t come home yet? But the lights are off.”

Since household staff normally left the lights on when they went off duty, Da Hyun found this odd.
