Da Hyun smiled faintly and answered the call from a familiar number she hadn’t heard in a long time.

“Yeah, Yul. Did you arrive at the café?”

A few days ago, she’d suddenly received a message from Yul, an old friend.

Though hurt, Da Hyun had also felt glad and, after hearing Yul’s return date, prepared everything to match that day.

That long-awaited day was today.

She’d already told Min Hyuk she was meeting a friend. He seemed quite surprised, as if he’d never known she even had friends.

Then again, even someone like Kang Min Hyuk wouldn’t have known about Yul’s existence—

after all, she’d never mentioned Yul in front of Min Hyuk.

“I’ll be there soon too.”

Da Hyun found a café decorated in a style she knew Yul would love, then texted her the name and address.

Past red brick walls and a stone-paved path stood an antique door; stepping through it, one was immersed in vintage charm.

After ending the brief call, Da Hyun felt a mix of anticipation and excitement—her only friend had finally returned to Korea, and she now felt like she’d gained a solid ally.

But there was a problem.

Da Hyun hadn’t yet told Yul, whom she was seeing after so long, about her marriage. She intended to bring it up when the moment felt right—she hadn’t been able to say it immediately due to their lost contact.

She entered the café and walked toward a striking figure with waist-length blonde hair.
