Da Hyun disliked the woman’s harsh voice, and the sunglasses added a suspicious look to her appearance.
She viewed the woman, who suddenly started talking to her, with suspicion.
“Oh, how intriguing,” said the woman, observing Da Hyun as if she were an exhibit.
Da Hyun wondered what she was supposed to remember.
“I was just out for a neighborhood stroll, I never expected to run into you. Seems like we have quite a connection,” the woman remarked.
Da Hyun couldn’t believe she had forgotten such a rude and disrespectful woman. If they had met before, she would’ve remembered to avoid her in the future.
With no interest in ruining her mood or engaging with this strange person, Da Hyun chose not to respond.
More than anything, she wanted to return home to look at the ultrasound pictures in her maternity book.
Da Hyun walked past the woman, ignoring her. The woman, noticing the snub, raised her voice.
“We’ve met before, don’t you recognize me?” she asked.

Da Hyun stopped and turned. “That can’t be. I would remember if I saw your face.”
The woman, amused by the encounter, took off her sunglasses and smiled, “How could you forget? Our meeting was so intense.”
If the current encounter was intense, so must have been the previous one. But Da Hyun was sure she had never met this woman with bright red lips.
“I’m sorry, but you must be mistaken,” Da Hyun replied.
“No, I’m not. I remember faces very well. My name is Kim Yun Hee. It’s been a long time, Han Da Hyun.”
Da Hyun was startled that the woman knew her name.
Kim Yun Hee – a name Da Hyun didn’t want to remember, pretty yet oddly discomforting.
“We haven’t met before,” Da Hyun thought.
“You seem to be doing well,” Yun Hee remarked.
Da Hyun remained silent.

“I haven’t been doing well,” Yun Hee continued. “You’re lucky to have forgotten everything.”
Yun Hee watched Da Hyun with envy and then laughed hollowly.
Da Hyun, overwhelmed by the strong perfume, felt nauseous. She tried to speak but was overcome by a gag reflex.
“Ahh, sorry,” she managed, covering her mouth and bending over.
Yun Hee’s expression turned cold as she realized something. “Could it be…” she wondered.
Yun Hee’s voice trembled slightly. Da Hyun straightened up, feeling her stomach churn. She lacked the energy to be concerned about Yun Hee’s state.
All she wanted was to distance herself from this strange woman.
If she didn’t, she feared she might embarrass herself by vomiting in front of a stranger.
Yun Hee’s previously relaxed demeanor changed as she watched Da Hyun struggle with nausea.
Da Hyun, feeling more sensitive since learning of her pregnancy, just wanted to go home and rest.
The nausea was so intense it made her dizzy. In the past, she might have listened to what Kim Yun Hee had to say, but at that moment, it didn’t matter who she was or what she knew.

Da Hyun’s priority was her well-being.
“Excuse me, I must be going,” she said, worried she might faint.
Passing Yun Hee without noticing her shocked expression, Da Hyun hurried away.
Arriving home, Da Hyun managed to reach her bedroom and collapsed onto the bed.
When she woke up, the room was dark. To soothe her unsettled stomach, she sucked on a lemon candy, musing over her initial obliviousness to her pregnancy.
Why didn’t she notice the changes in her body?
She laughed at herself for worrying she might have a terminal illness before knowing she was pregnant.
Even after resting, she still felt tired, but slightly better.
Da Hyun thought about the woman she encountered in the alley. Despite not fully understanding her words due to morning sickness, Da Hyun knew the woman recognized her.
“Kim Yun Hee.”

Despite trying, she couldn’t recall anyone by that name.
“Why would she know me if I can’t remember her?” Da Hyun pondered, dismissing the memory as she picked up her maternity book.
“How surprised Min Hyuk will be.”
She couldn’t tire of looking at the ultrasound picture, amazed by the life growing inside her.
“If only I had known about you earlier,” she whispered, gently stroking her flat belly and smiling.
Her thoughts turned to Yeon Sil, making her melancholic. She tried not to dwell on it.
“Isn’t he back yet?”
Checking the time and anticipating Min Hyuk’s return, Da Hyun clutched the maternity book to her chest and left the bedroom.
Having sent the housekeeper home early, Da Hyun waited alone for him.
Descending to the first floor, she lingered near the entrance, holding the maternity book in one hand and her phone in the other. Her expression brimmed with excitement as she awaited his arrival.
Soon, the sound of the door lock echoed, drawing her attention to the entrance.

Ding-ding—The door unlocked and opened.
Min Hyuk, unaware that she was waiting, entered with a neutral expression. As soon as he stepped in, Da Hyun couldn’t contain herself.
“Min Hyuk.”
Lifting his head at her voice, Min Hyuk relaxed his features and smiled languidly.
“Sorry, you asked me to come early today, but I got delayed.”
“It’s okay.”

He looked up at her, his eyebrows drooping: “My hand… has no strength.”
“Shall I… feed you?” she asked tentatively.
He opened his mouth cheerfully: “Ah—”
