Min Hyuk moved towards the elevator and dialed Da Hyun’s number.
He was anxious as she was still not answering her phone.
Even though it was a company, and the chances of anything happening were slim, he felt uneasy.
He was restless when she wasn’t within his sight.
Furthermore, he was more worried in case he had accidentally encountered Si Hoon.
It would be problematic if she, who remembered nothing, met Si Hoon and asked about the past.
Si Hoon did not know in detail what had happened between him and her.
If he made a slip of the tongue, she would find it strange. They shouldn’t meet alone unless they were together.
He did not want to mess things up.
It took two years to meet again. He could not distort his relationship with her again due to a minor mistake.

Min Hyuk dialed Da Hyun’s number once again.
At this rate, he might have realized that her obsession was endless.
She might find it pathetic and annoying, but that was okay.
He hoped that she would not abandon him.
The signal was long, then cut off.
[Hello?] Finally, after trying to reach her eight times, she picked up the phone. As always, she was excellent at making him impatient.“Where are you?”
Min Hyuk calmed his voice. He had already revealed his impatience with his missed calls to her, but he didn’t want it to show in his voice.
[Your father is alone. I’ll go. Don’t come down.] “I’ve told the chairman that we’re leaving, so we can go home straight away. We have to go to my fatherinlaw’s house this evening, so we should rest at home as much as possible.”
[I’m in the elevator? I’m already going up. I’m bothered because I didn’t even say goodbye. So I’ll go and say hello and come back.] “It’s okay, let’s meet on the 36th floor instead of the chairman’s office. If you go back into the chairman’s office, it’ll be hard to get out. Since we decided to go home next time, the chairman won’t mind either. I’ll be there soon. Just stay put when I get down.”
[Yes.] Unable to wait for the elevator, Min Hyuk eventually went down through the emergency exit.
It was just when Min Hyuk, descending the stairs swiftly, arrived on the 36th floor and was about to open the door.
He withdrew his hand that was reaching for the door handle at the sound of footsteps from the lower floors.

It was too obvious to pretend he didn’t know any longer.
“Looking at how calm you are hiding after being caught, are you a beginner?”
The harsh voice stopped the footsteps that were heard from below.
“Get up here. Before I drag you up. If you don’t want to be humiliated in front of everyone by security, that is.”
Min Hyuk knew who it was even without confirming. It was laughable how he tried to hide his body in the hole like a mouse.
“I’m not one to enjoy jokes at the expense of others. It’s hard to ignore anymore, so come out when I’m asking nicely.”
The footsteps that had stopped below approached, making a trudging sound in response to the low voice.
“I, I was just passing by……”
The face of a young man in a black suit with a slickedback haircut turned pale with fear. It was evident he hadn’t expected to be caught.
The man, turning paler, stuttered and hurriedly adjusted his clothes.
Min Hyuk, leaning casually against the wall, crossed his arms loosely and laughed at the flustered man.
“You’re not new to surveillance. Who are you working for?”
At the soft but quite pressing tone, the man swallowed hard. How did he get caught?
“I cannot say.”
The man gave up quickly. Because he realized Min Hyuk had been watching him.
When did he notice? Did he even know at the department store?

The man rolled his eyes and chewed the inside of his mouth. Min Hyuk was not supposed to come up through the emergency exit. The man, in charge of watching Da Hyun, clenched and opened his eyes.
“Fine, if you can’t say, then don’t. But next time if you catch my eye, you won’t be able to stand on both legs like you are now. Tell the person who hired you that.”
Min Hyuk, after bringing shame onto the man, uncrossed his arms, grabbed the man’s black tie, and lifted the corners of his mouth even higher.
“If you’re going to tail Da Hyun, hire a professional.”
The man was not unaware of the threat in the respectful words. The grip on the tie loosened. The man, consumed with fear, couldn’t separate his lips.
When the man didn’t move at all, Min Hyuk checked the time again and sighed.
“What are you doing? Aren’t you going to report to your employer? Do I have to tell you everything?”
“No? No, I’m not!”
Min Hyuk clucked his tongue as if to say the man was pitiful. The man straightened his back, saluted Min Hyuk, and hurriedly left.
“What an idiot. I wonder where they found such a pitiful guy.”
Min Hyuk clicked his tongue at the man’s footsteps hurrying down, unlike the quiet steps earlier.
In fact, he knew it was Su Cheol’s doing without even asking who it was. But he did not mention Su Cheol’s name.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
