Minhyuk’s held envelope began to irritate him. Although he wanted to think of it as divorce papers, judging by Kang Minhyuk’s attitude, it seemed like he had no intention of divorcing Dahyun.
Then why did Kim Yoonhee bring her along?
Suchul suspiciously stared at the strangely quiet Kim Yoonhee. However, Kim Yoonhee stood behind Minhyuk as if hiding, and he couldn’t see her properly.
“Brother-in-law, you didn’t see it like that, but in terms of courtesy, you’re someone who can’t find it even if you wash your eyes. Did you just speak rudely to me in front of our dad?”
Is this guy crazy to do this in front of his father-in-law?
Jiyeon lost words at Minhyuk’s unlucky behavior that couldn’t be found in terms of courtesy.
Jiyeon was angry at Minhyuk’s disrespectful behavior, having experienced being ignored by Minhyuk. It would have been fine if Minhyuk hadn’t been here.
It was a party of great spectacle.
Enraged by Minhyuk’s unlucky behavior, Jiyeon had nothing to say.
An individual who hadn’t learned from Suchul was indeed useless. On the topic of illegitimate children. It was obvious that she had a stake in HG Group due to her relationship with Changjeong being her stepfather.
If it weren’t for Changjeong’s blood flowing, I wouldn’t have been able to look her in the eye properly.

Jiyeon’s face, heated from anger, turned bright red. Minhyuk glared at Jiyeon, as if seeing through exactly what she was thinking.
“I knew your head was empty, but I didn’t know it was this hollow.”
“Brother-in-law!”
Jiyeon’s voice, with her pride shattered, became sharp. Since entering Suchul’s house, Minhyuk had been looking down on Kim Yoonhee, who had become silent.
“Kim Yoonhee, lift your head.”
“……. ”
“Anyone would think you’re the victim.”
Minhyuk signaled that the time for him to apologize had come. Kim Yoonhee quickly glanced around with an anxious look.
Kim Yoonhee, who Dahyun had seen before, was filled with hatred, but now she seemed pitiful, as if something was crumbling inside her.
But there was no one else to sympathize with her.

“The victim is my wife.”
Minhyuk handed the envelope he held to Kim Yoonhee. Inside was a genetic test proving that the child was not Minhyuk’s.
It meant that she had to untangle the mess that she had created with her lies.
“You have to make amends for what you’ve done, right? This is your last chance.”
Minhyuk showed his back to Suchul and continued to look at Dahyun intently. He wanted to approach her, wrap his warm arms around her huddled shoulders.
He felt sorry for not knowing about Kim Yoonhee’s nonsensical remarks until now. He wanted to apologize for running away without wanting to see her when he found out, and he wanted to say sorry for not being able to let her go even when he knew.
He couldn’t dare to guess how painful it must have been for her to carry his child in her womb while memories returned.
“You. If your disrespectful behavior towards your father-in-law continues like this and reaches Chairman Kang’s ears, what will you do? Even if the child you called from outside turns out to be his son, if Chairman Kang thinks he’s an impolite son-in-law, he’ll be very sad.”
Suchul, curious about the contents of the envelope, openly revealed his hostility.
What could be inside that she confidently brought it in like this?

Jiyeon, instead of pleading for Minhyuk’s mistake, brought Kim Yoonhee along, expecting how she would kneel before Suchul. She was more curious about how Dahyun would break down watching this.
Minhyuk casually dismissed Suchul’s sarcasm.
“It doesn’t matter. I’ve learned it this way from the beginning.”
Suchul gritted his teeth in frustration at Minhyuk’s indifferent attitude.
What are you planning to do? It won’t change that Kim Yoonhee’s child is your child. Instead of apologizing, you’re an unlucky guy.
Suchul glared at Minhyuk with a gaze full of hatred. Kim Yoonhee approached Suchul, holding the envelope.
“Chairman Kang, please look at this.”
Kim Yoonhee approached Suchul, holding the envelope she received from Minhyuk, and extended it to him.
Suchul stared at the envelope as if it were dirty and did not accept it quietly.
“What is this?”
When Suchul didn’t take the envelope, Kim Yoonhee resignedly, reluctantly tore it open herself.

Having torn the envelope, Kim Yoonhee took out a piece of paper and showed it to Suchul for him to read.
“This is a test result indicating that my child is not Minhyuk’s.”
Suchul couldn’t look away from the last sentence stating that the numbers marked in red did not match.
“…What? The child isn’t his?”
“Yes. The father of my child is someone unknown, to the point where I don’t know what he does or where he lives. When Minhyuk fell deeply for Dahyun and turned away from me, I got angry and wandered around. That’s when I had my child.”
In other words, it was a child completely unrelated to Minhyuk.
Kim Yoonhee tried not to tremble, giving strength to her vocal cords. She was afraid to threaten Suchul by saying that she wouldn’t leave the child alone unless he vomited up the money he had received immediately. However, she had no choice but to follow Minhyuk’s promise to cover the child’s medical expenses and ensure the child’s safety.
For Yoonhee, her child’s health was more important and precious than anything else. She could easily abandon her pride for the sake of the child.
Looking at Suchul and Minhyuk, when it came to trust, it was naturally Minhyuk, who had been around for a long time.
Suchul, with trembling hands, grabbed the test result and checked it.

This can’t be true. Because he was 100% sure, he didn’t even bother with a separate DNA test. He had known for a long time and they were lovers, so naturally, they wouldn’t have just confronted each other recklessly.
Suchul crumpled the test result, almost tearing it apart, and threw it to the ground.
Jiyeon’s expectant face, which had been full of anticipation, also turned into shock just like Suchul’s.
The woman’s child wasn’t Kang Minhyuk’s?
Then how would the situation unfold from now on?
“This, this damn crazy b**ch!”
Suchul, unable to contain his anger, stomped on the crumpled paper on the floor with his slipper. Jiyeon hesitated and took a step back.
Minhyuk enjoyed Suchul’s reaction as it seemed interesting. He wanted to applaud Minhyuk’s recklessness without proper confirmation, but refrained because he was Dahyun’s stepfather.
“How dare you deceive me?! How do I know if this is manipulated?! Your child is obviously Kang Minhyuk’s!”
Ignoring whatever Suchul said, Kim Yoonhee turned away without looking at the crumpled test result.

If she had sided with Suchul until the end, she might have ended up like that piece of paper.
It was a mistake from the beginning. If she hadn’t been greedy, the situation wouldn’t have escalated to this point.
Kim Yoonhee, leaving the excited Suchul behind, approached Dahyun, who was standing dazed from the sudden turn of events, and knelt down.
“I’m sorry, Dahyun.”
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
