Dahyun hesitated when she saw an unwanted number on her phone. A week had passed since she became a guest at Yul’s house.
She thought she wouldn’t receive any more calls from Kim Yoonhee. She thought her wishes had been fulfilled, and there would be no more contact.
Dahyun stared silently at her phone when it rang, contemplating whether she should answer it.
“What more do I need to do here? The rest should be resolved between the two of them.”
She assumed that Minhyuk, too, had not contacted her and that Kim Yoonhee and he had somehow managed to resolve things on their own. Dahyun now believed that all that was left was to file for divorce, and if Minhyuk wanted, she was prepared to go to court anytime.
The only thing left was sorting out her feelings toward Minhyuk. Could the two of them not resolve things amicably?

Since she didn’t answer the calls, this time, Kim Yoonhee attempted to contact her through text.
Dahyun had no intention of reading the message Kim Yoonhee sent. Her body and mind were already full of wounds.

The abrupt change in attitude raised suspicions.
“Who knows if even the current message is a lie? Don’t be fooled.”
Although Dahyun had been deceived by Kim Yoonhee once or twice before, she found it pathetic to see her waver again, especially in the face of desperate messages.
Dahyun set her phone to silent and placed it upside down on her desk.
Dahyun walked to the kitchen to take her prenatal vitamins.
