Chairman Cha felt a pang of pity, wondering just how much hardship Do Ha must have endured to shed tears right before him.

He recalled how ecstatic Do Ha had been—bounding with joy as if he’d gained the whole world—when Eun Young was pregnant, and the vow he himself had made while cradling the newborn Do Ha in his arms.

“I’ll do anything for you.”

The emotion he’d felt when Do Ha, with those tiny, adorable hands, had grasped his little finger still remained vividly etched in his heart.

Do Ha was his precious, cherished son. Aside from when he was very young, Do Ha had never once cried in front of him like this. Chairman Cha looked at his son with tender sympathy.
