A Thrilling Divorce (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 7
Tears streamed down So Myung’s cheeks, one after another. Even as he watched her cry, he glared at her with a cold expression.
“You know how stubborn I am, right? I’m leaving. Let go of this.”
“Don’t go.”
Ji Sung stared at So Myung, who clung stubbornly to his arm, then forcefully pried her hand away and strode into the dressing room, packing his suits one by one into his suitcase.
Watching him from afar, So Myung’s body trembled violently. When Ji Sung grabbed his suitcase and headed straight for the front door without even glancing at her, So Myung rushed forward and blocked his path.
In a voice filled with venom, she said,
“You can’t go! Is our ten years together worth nothing?”
Ji Sung looked at So Myung in silence. The moment their eyes met—hers brimming with tears, his hard and distant—his heart softened, just for an instant.
But the thought immediately cut through his mind: he couldn’t let himself waver any longer.
Ji Sung had long since lost his composure. He’d changed so drastically that So Myung wondered if this was even the same man she’d married. He was beginning to find her—standing stubbornly in his way—annoying and irritating.
The pure, beautiful So Myung he once knew was nowhere to be seen. All that remained was this aggressive, obstinate woman, clinging to him like a leech.
“I’m sick and tired of you. Don’t you understand what I’m saying?”
“I won’t let you go. If you want to leave, you’ll have to kill me first.”
“What? So Myung, do you really have to ruin yourself like this? Step aside.”
When So Myung refused to move, Ji Sung pushed her away with force. She tumbled into the living room.
Rage surged through her at his actions. After ten years as his wife, she didn’t deserve to be treated this way. Barely managing to get back on her feet, she shouted toward Ji Sung,
“Ji Sung An!”
But Ji Sung had already stepped into the elevator and gone down.
So Myung frantically pressed the elevator button again and again. Shaken and terrified by what had just happened, her body trembled like an aspen leaf. She somehow managed to get into the elevator and ride down to the underground parking garage.
Standing right in front of the elevator doors was Do Ha. The moment the doors opened, their eyes locked squarely.
Do Ha was startled but dipped his head slightly, about to greet her—but So Myung, trembling all over, didn’t even glance at him. She ran straight into the underground parking garage.
She sprinted toward the car pulling away in the distance, but it didn’t stop. Instead, it accelerated and sped off.
Do Ha, troubled by the distress in her eyes, found himself walking toward her without even realizing it. Sure enough, she collapsed onto the parking garage floor, shaking violently as she wept.
Seeing her frail frame overwhelmed him with pain. Though Do Ha seemed like someone who’d remain unmoved by another’s sorrow, in truth, he had a warm heart.
He approached So Myung with a worried expression.
“Excuse me… are you okay?”
So Myung was mortified by her pitiful appearance. She tried to act composed, but her voice was thick with tears, and no proper words would come out.
To make matters worse, her legs had gone weak, making it hard to stand. It was embarrassing to keep showing such an unflattering side in front of this man, but she had no choice.
With a trembling voice, she barely managed to speak.
“Sorry… could you help me up? My legs gave out…”
“Oh… sure.”
Without hesitation, Do Ha reached out his hand. She lifted hers slightly. As he bent down to help her up and their eyes met squarely, her shimmering eyes seemed ready to burst into tears at any moment. Looking at her expression, a sharp ache spread through his chest.
‘What could have happened?’
He was honestly tempted to press her for answers. What could possibly have made her this distraught?
No matter how he looked at her, she kept gnawing at his thoughts. So Myung stood up and looked at him. Her hair was disheveled and her face deathly pale—she looked like someone who’d just been through something grave.
“Is something wrong?”
Do Ha wasn’t the type to meddle in others’ affairs, but curiosity about this woman was driving him crazy.
“Ah… no, nothing. I’m just causing you trouble. Uh… but why are you here, President?”
She’d been so out of it that it hadn’t even struck her as odd to run into her company president in the apartment’s underground garage—but now that her mind was clearing, she wondered why he was here.
“I moved in here not long ago.”
“Oh! Right. Thank you. I’ll be going now.”
So Myung gave Do Ha a quick bow and staggered toward the elevator. But then—Do Ha was walking toward her apartment line too?
Now that she thought about it, they’d just met right in front of the elevator. Awkwardness flooding her face, she forced a faint smile.
Do Ha was equally flustered to realize they lived in the same building, same entrance, same floor.
He gave a wry smile and stepped into the elevator. When he went to press the floor button, he saw So Myung had already pressed it.
“Huh.”
He let out an involuntary sound. They lived on the same floor.
Come to think of it—they were neighbors, right across the hall.
Soon, the elevator stopped, and the two stepped out, both wearing visibly awkward expressions. So Myung broke the silence first.
“Then… go on in.”
Trending
“Yeah.”
Do Ha entered his apartment first. Once he disappeared inside, So Myung trudged slowly into her own home.
‘He’s gone.’
She’d worried about what she’d do if she ever found out he’d cheated—if he’d drop to his knees, beg for forgiveness, and cling to her feet…
She’d thought she wouldn’t forgive him easily.
But instead of a sincere apology, he’d treated her like trash and walked out with his suitcase packed. Her life, which she’d believed was stable, had suddenly been hit with an unbearable trial.
Inside the apartment, So Myung closed her eyes and sank into thought. It was unbelievable—but it was her reality.
★★★★★★
Ji Sung had now fully made up his mind to live with Ra Hee Chae. Ra Hee Chae was pure and innocent yesterday, and endlessly sexy today.
He was so happy with her that he didn’t even think of So Myung.
So Myung already knew, and he’d crossed a river he could never return from. He stood firmly outside Ra Hee’s apartment, his eyes resolute.
Ra Hee opened the door and, seeing the suitcase in Ji Sung’s hand, asked in surprise,
“Oppa, what happened?”
“I left.”
“What?”
“I told her everything. That I want a divorce.”
At Ji Sung’s words, Ra Hee scooted closer and asked with curiosity,
“What did that woman say?”
“Hmm… she might not agree right away.”
“Why?”
“She kept begging me not to go.”
“So?”
“I just packed up and left. What else could I do? She’s clearly not okay with it. She’s got no choice now.”
“But the paperwork isn’t done yet.”
“It’ll be soon. Just trust me.”
“For real?”
“Yeah.”
“Oppa, you must be exhausted. Go wash up. I’ll give you a massage.”
“Really?”
“Mm-hmm.”
Ra Hee gave Ji Sung a radiant smile. He went into the bathroom, and soon the sound of the shower could be heard. Ra Hee kept replaying his words in her head.
“She kept begging me not to go.”
She worried—if his wife clung desperately to him, things could get complicated.
Ra Hee was a practical woman. She’d made sure to investigate Ji Sung thoroughly before making her move.
It would’ve been even better if he were single, but unfortunately, he was married.
Unwilling to give up on him, she’d gone all out to learn everything about him.
Thankfully, they had no children. Without kids, divorce wouldn’t be an issue, she’d thought.
But if his wife refused to agree to the divorce, Ra Hee would have to live branded as a mistress until it finally happened.
Her mind grew chaotic. She had to find a way to get rid of that woman as soon as possible.
Ji Sung came out of the shower. Ra Hee approached and buried herself in his arms. Her delicate frame fit snugly against his chest.
“Mmm, Oppa, you smell so good.”
She cooed, making cute noises as she snuggled closer.
“What is happiness, really? Ra Hee! I’m truly happy.”
Ji Sung gazed at her with a look that said he adored her to death.
“Ra Hee, let’s find a place for us to live together.”
“Huh?”
“It’s too cramped here.”
“Oppa!”
Her heart fluttered at his suggestion of finding a home for just the two of them. Ji Sung was also a man whose wealth rivaled anyone’s.
He’d always been the only son of a wealthy family—in every way, the perfect match. Nestled in Ji Sung’s arms, Ra Hee began scheming in her head.

She thought to herself,
‘How much of Oppa’s assets will he have to give that woman?’
As if reading her mind, Ji Sung said,
“I should consult a lawyer about how to handle the asset division.”
“Won’t that put you at a disadvantage?”
“Probably. That’s why I need to look into all the options.”
“Oppa, let’s go get a massage.”
“Massage can wait.”
A spark flared in Ji Sung’s eyes. He scooped Ra Hee up in one swift motion.
Startled by his sudden move, Ra Hee’s eyes widened—then she broke into a bright smile.
“Oppa, what are you doing? I’m heavy. Put me down.”
Ji Sung looked at her with supreme confidence.
“Let’s go.”
He carried her into the bedroom and gently laid her down on the bed. Then he leaned in and kissed her fiercely.
As they kissed, Ra Hee roughly pulled off his bathrobe. Drenched in the euphoria of victory, they clung to each other desperately, craving each other even more.

So Myung was truly alone now. She’d never been in this big house without Ji Sung. They’d always been together. She had no strength left—no will to do anything.
She just felt pain. They say life is unpredictable, and right now, she couldn’t see a single step ahead.
What had she even been living for all this time?
So Myung shook her head violently without realizing it. Then her eyes locked onto the wedding photo of Ji Sung and herself hanging right in front of her.
The more she thought about it, the angrier she became, until she thought she’d burst. With cold eyes and a pale, bitter smile, she felt everything around her turn hollow and meaningless.
Her breathing grew heavier as she walked toward the photo frame.
“Huhu… hhh…”
Sadness clouded her eyes as she stared at the wedding portrait.
“What makes you so special? Why do you have to hurt me like this? It hurts so much—I feel like I’m going to die!”
She screamed at the top of her lungs, swallowing her tears.
“What makes you so special?”
She took the frame down and lifted it above her head. She felt that if she threw it, she’d finally be free of him forever.
After a brief hesitation, she lifted her chin high. Then, breathing heavily, she clenched her teeth.
With all her strength, she hurled the frame to the floor.
The happy-looking wedding portrait of Ji Sung and So Myung shattered with a loud crash, sending sharp glass shards flying across the floor.
“I won’t let this go.”
She growled, her face twisted with malice.
“I’ll get my revenge—no matter what.”
She glared at the broken frame, tears streaming endlessly from her eyes.
“I can’t breathe. I’m going insane.”
Without realizing it, she pounded and clawed at her own chest.
She couldn’t stand being alone in this house. So she rushed outside aimlessly. Her feet stung from stepping on glass, but she didn’t care.
So Myung wandered endlessly through the night streets—enough to make passersby think she’d lost her mind.
After walking for a long time, she spotted the small bar she and Ji Sung used to frequent. Inside, the female owner greeted her with a smile.
“Oh my, it’s been so long! Hey—where’s your husband?”

Seriously, I’m shocked at how idiotic they are. Ra Hare really thought the protagonist was so nice.
She finally told her father the truth; he just needs to meet the protagonist to see how wonderful she is.
Seriously, I’m angry at this fake; I’m waiting for the mask to fall.
