A Thrilling Divorce (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 11
Startled, Ji Sung turned his head toward the sound. In the distance, a burly man was walking quickly toward them.
“Mind your own business and get lost.”
Ji Sung said coldly to the man, sounding irritated.
“I know exactly how you feel—I’ve been through it myself. Those shameless people.”
“What did you say?”
Angered by the man’s rudeness, Ji Sung raised his arm to swing a fist at him.
But the man swiftly caught Ji Sung’s wrist with a nimble movement and gripped it tightly.
Overpowered by the man’s strength, Ji Sung couldn’t pull his arm free. The pain from the man’s crushing grip made him wince.
“Let go of me.”
“I’ll let go when you come to your senses. If you keep acting like this, I might just make sure you can’t use that arm again.”
The man released his grip and glared fiercely at Ji Sung.
“Has this guy lost his mind?”
Just as the furious Ji Sung prepared to attack him again, Ra Hee Chae appeared behind him and grabbed his arm.
“Ra Hee, let go.”
“Oppa, that guy… he looks like the CEO.”
Ra Hee whispered, her voice clearly flustered.
“What?”
“CEO Do Ha Cha.”
Only after hearing Ra Hee’s words did Ji Sung finally recognize Do Ha’s face—CEO Cha was glaring at him with a frightening expression.
“Let’s go. Now.”
Ra Hee tugged at Ji Sung’s clothes. Ji Sung looked once more at the man’s face.
Though he wasn’t wearing a suit, the icy expression staring him down was unmistakably that of the CEO.
Ji Sung felt a sudden urgency, as if he had to explain himself immediately.
“I… um…”
But Ra Hee pulled his arm and whispered urgently,
“Don’t pretend you know him. He doesn’t recognize us.”
Though Ra Hee spoke softly, her words rang clearly in Do Ha’s ears.
“Yes, you’re right. Cha Do Ha is my name.”
Shocked by Do Ha’s words, Ji Sung stood frozen, unable to speak.
“No matter how much you’re the CEO, this is our personal matter.”
Ji Sung looked straight ahead and spoke defiantly.
“I’m not stepping in here as a CEO—I’m doing it because I can’t just stand by and watch someone harass a woman. That’s simply the right thing to do.”
Do Ha glanced toward So Myung, who stood quietly to the side, then walked over and spoke to her.
“Are you all right?”
So Myung looked at Do Ha and nodded.
Ji Sung stood stunned, watching Do Ha approach his wife and speak to her so gently.
It felt strange—seeing someone else look at his wife with such kindness.
Suddenly, human selfishness grated on his nerves. Ra Hee, who had been staring at Do Ha this whole time, tugged Ji Sung’s arm again.
Her hair was a mess, her eye makeup smudged, giving her a bizarre appearance. She spoke, her voice full of anger.
“If you’re not coming, Oppa, I’m leaving first.”
“No, Ra Hee. Let’s go.”
Ji Sung gave So Myung one last glare before leaving the scene with Ra Hee. So Myung looked at Do Ha and managed to speak.
“I keep owing you favors… I’m so sorry, and thank you.”
Though she bowed politely, her whole body still trembled—she clearly hadn’t calmed down yet.
Her tightly clenched fist was still full of Ra Hee’s hair.
Seeing this, Do Ha felt uneasy. In that moment, memories of that nightmarish day flashed through his mind.
✶✶✶✶✶✶
He was an introverted man, but to Seo Bin, the woman he loved, he was endlessly gentle and caring.
At first glance, cheerful Seo Bin and serious Do Ha seemed mismatched, yet throughout their relationship, they deeply loved each other without major arguments—or so Do Ha believed.
Do Ha loved planning surprises for Seo Bin and wanted to give her everything.

Whenever she looked at him and smiled, he felt so happy he thought he might cry.
That day, just like any other, he suddenly missed her and drove straight to her house without thinking.
Her car was parked outside her home.
Excited, he called her, but Seo Bin didn’t answer.
After waiting in his car for a long while, Do Ha finally decided to leave—when a white foreign-made car approached from afar.
Without much thought, he glanced toward it and saw Seo Bin sitting in the passenger seat next to a man.
Shocked, Do Ha instinctively ducked his head and hid himself. His heart pounded violently as his eyes remained glued to the scene through the car window.
Seo Bin was wearing a tight black mini dress that clearly outlined her figure—its deep neckline revealing more than usual.
Her makeup was unusually heavy, so different from what he knew—he doubted his own eyes, wondering if this was really Seo Bin.
Soon after, Seo Bin stepped out of the car, and the man driving it got out as well.
He stood in front of her and slowly leaned his face toward hers.
Do Ha clenched his molars, overwhelmed by a surge of emotion.
He slowly shook his head in disbelief at what was unfolding before his eyes.
While he stood there in shock and pain, Seo Bin and the man pressed their bodies close together and began kissing like lovers.
With trembling hands, Do Ha opened his car door and stepped out. His tall, muscular frame swayed unsteadily—his legs shook so badly his steps felt awkward.
Just as the two, absorbed in their act, failed to notice Do Ha approaching, his low voice reached Seo Bin’s ear.
“Seo Bin…”
Startled, Seo Bin stopped kissing and turned around. Behind her stood Do Ha, his face pale as a ghost.
“How could you do this to me?”
“Oppa?”
Seo Bin couldn’t offer any excuse—Do Ha had just witnessed her kissing another man.
The man who had kissed her moments ago walked toward Do Ha and said,
“You’ve seen enough. Now get lost.”
Do Ha glared at him, his eyes filled with tension and bloodshot from rage. He ground his teeth and clenched his fists tightly.
He took one step forward, grabbed the man by the collar with both hands, and lifted him up.
Caught off guard, the man couldn’t defend himself and choked, gasping for air.
Do Ha, breathing heavily, pressed down harder with both hands—then suddenly let go. Freed from Do Ha’s grip, the man bent over, gasping painfully.
Seo Bin looked at Do Ha with a pitiful expression. Do Ha stared back at her and said quietly,
“It’s over between us.”
Hearing this, Seo Bin’s eyes widened in shock.
“Oppa, I was just so bored—I only popped into the club for a moment. He suddenly kissed me! I’d been drinking and wasn’t thinking straight. I love you, Oppa.”
Do Ha didn’t even glance at Seo Bin as she clung to him.
The warm, loving gaze he’d given her just yesterday had long disappeared.
His chilling, cold stare made Seo Bin unconsciously shrink back.
Without looking at her, Do Ha walked toward his car. Silent tears streamed down his expressionless face.
He got in the car and sped off at a terrifying pace. Seo Bin watched his car drive away, her expression blank.
Soon, the man approached her side and asked gently,
“Are you okay? It worked out well. It’s over now. Just look at me from now on.”
Seo Bin stared wide-eyed down the road Do Ha had taken and huffed angrily.
“Seo Bin? What’s wrong?”
She glared at the man, who looked at her with genuine confusion, and snapped,
“Get lost.”
“What?”
“Do you really think someone like you can compare to Oppa?”
“Hey… Were you just playing with me this whole time?”
The man looked utterly bewildered, but Seo Bin ignored him, walked into her house, and slammed the front door shut.
After driving for a long while, Do Ha pulled over to the roadside.
His shoulders shook violently. The woman he’d believed was his destiny had just kissed another man right before his eyes.
He hated her with all his being—for turning their love into a cheap drama or a B-grade movie.
It felt like reliving a nightmare he never wanted to see again.

He suffered deeply for a long time after that, and after parting ways with her, he became cold and cynical.
He never smiled again—not in front of others.
He found it impossible to trust anyone anymore.
✶✶✶✶✶✶
That was why he could understand her pain—how it felt to be betrayed by one’s husband.
He could imagine how suffocated she must feel, how much she might wish she were dead.
Looking at her, Do Ha said,
“Why have you gotten so thin? Aren’t you eating?”
“Ah… No, I am.”
“What do you mean, no? You probably feel guilty toward me—let’s settle it with a meal.”
“Huh?”
“First, hand me your hand.”
Do Ha took the clump of Ra Hee’s hair still tightly gripped in So Myung’s fist and tossed it into a nearby trash bin.
“Aren’t you coming?”
Do Ha looked at So Myung and started walking ahead. So Myung thought that if she could repay his kindness, at least treating him to a meal was within her power.
Though she felt utterly wretched right now, she didn’t want to be cruel even to this kind stranger who’d helped her.
“Um… CEO, I came with my car.”
“Oh, really? That works out well. Give me the keys.”
“What?”
When Do Ha asked for the keys, So Myung looked at him, surprised.
“Why so shocked? You’re clearly not in your right mind—I’ll drive.”
“Ah… Okay.”
“But I hope you have enough money to treat me—I plan to eat something expensive.”
“Yes, I do.”
“Then… is this your car?”
Do Ha pointed to So Myung’s SUV. She silently nodded.
Now that he looked closely, she was neatly dressed in a suit and even had makeup on.
She looked incredibly beautiful today.
Do Ha saw her in a whole new light. After gazing at her briefly, he quickly composed himself and said,
“Get in.”
“Okay.”
Do Ha started the engine and slowly began driving So Myung’s car. While driving, he asked her,
“Um… I still don’t even know your name.”
“Oh, right. Last time, I introduced myself with my husband’s name instead of my own. My name is So Myung Hong.”
“Ah, Ms. So Myung. How old are you?”
“I’m thirty-four.”
“We’re the same age, then.”
Hearing they were the same age, So Myung glanced at his profile as he drove.
“Can I call you So Myung?”
The cold, cynical expression had long vanished from Do Ha’s face. He looked at her gently as he asked.
“Yes.”
“My name is Cha Do Ha.”
“I know.”
“To you, I’m not the CEO—just speak casually.”
“Okay.”
Do Ha suddenly felt a strong urge to feed her. Her face looked far too gaunt.
Her eyes held such sorrow that looking at her made him feel sad, too.
After driving a little farther, he spotted a quiet ox bone soup restaurant. He pulled over there.
“Since you’re treating me, can I eat what I like?”
“Yes. You can have two bowls if you’d like.”

Hearing her reply, Do Ha couldn’t help but laugh—he found her response oddly endearing.
Surprised that he’d laughed, he quickly tried to regain his composure.
“It’s nice when you smile.”
So Myung looked at him as she spoke. He felt strangely lightheaded without realizing why.
He couldn’t understand why he was acting this way today—especially since he, who trusted no one and preferred solitude over company, kept finding himself preoccupied with So Myung beside him. Do Ha felt oddly unsettled.
He thought to himself,
‘What I feel toward her is sympathy. Yes. Because I’ve been through it myself. I feel sorry for her. That’s all it is.’
Convincing himself of this, he spoke to her,
“Let’s go sit over there.”
So Myung and Do Ha sat down and ordered ox bone soup.
Soon, steaming bowls of soup were placed before them, wisps of hot vapor curling upward.
Looking at So Myung, Do Ha said kindly,
“Eat plenty.”
He couldn’t take his eyes off her as he spoke.

Seriously, I’m shocked at how idiotic they are. Ra Hare really thought the protagonist was so nice.
She finally told her father the truth; he just needs to meet the protagonist to see how wonderful she is.
Seriously, I’m angry at this fake; I’m waiting for the mask to fall.
