Shade rose from his seat and concluded the conversation.

Dietrich hesitated, glanced around cautiously, then stood up.

Shade ordered the servants to escort the Archpriest to a comfortable place to rest, then headed toward his study.

As he walked down the corridor, his mind was filled with nothing but thoughts of what to do about Luise.

Though uneasy about taking her to Paradelle where the Grand Cathedral stood, leaving her here alone also made him anxious.

Since Dietrich already knew she was here, Giselle would probably find out as well.

‘Besides… Eklas is also troubling me.’

He was the one who had taken Luise from Sizlorn as if plundering her.

‘It seems he has committed sins that prevent him from acting recklessly…’

Eklas had deliberately concealed the truth knowing Shade was searching for her, even driving him into war.
