When Eklas stared at him, Shade furrowed his brow.

“What is it?”

A subtle, cautious hope shimmered in his violet eyes.

He seemed to be hoping it might be news that Liana Serpens had awakened.

Opening his mouth, Eklas spoke, imagining himself becoming a sacrifice to that sword for failing to deliver good tidings.

“Personal training is certainly commendable, but there’s something important I’d like to discuss with you.”

In other words, Eklas was urging him to stop and come inside.

At that, Shade shot Eklas a deadly glare before turning away.

Irritably, he sheathed his sword and gathered up the clothes he’d left aside.

“…I’ll send someone when I’m ready. Come up to my room.”

With those words, Shade stormed off with heavy, furious strides that seemed as if they’d shake the ground itself.
