Do Han came out of the bathroom after taking a shower.

He was roughly drying his hair with a towel when Sa Rang, who had bathed before him, was already dressed and sitting on the floor.

She was about to light the candles stuck into the cake.

“Come quickly.”

At her beckoning, Do Han approached with a smile and sat next to Sa Rang.

“Happy twentysixth birthday. Shall I sing a song for you?”

“No need.”

With a swift breath, he blew out the candles. Sa Rang furrowed her brows.

“You can’t just blow them out without making a wish. Do it again, again.”

As she was about to light the last remaining match, claiming the previous attempt void, Do Han removed all the candles.

Sa Rang rolled her eyes with disappointment and resentment.

“I made a wish.”

“Really?”

“Yes. Now let’s eat.”

As he cut the cake, Sa Rang moistened her lips as if she had something to say, then promptly closed her mouth.

She wanted to ask what his wish was, but she doubted he would answer.

As she ate the cake that Do Han spoonfed her, Sa Rang secretly took a gift box from her bag.

“I’ll give you something better next time.”

She extended her hand with a soft voice.

After meeting Do Han’s friends, her present seemed even more modest.

Compared to the restaurant coupons and hotel vouchers, it felt like a gift from an elementary school student.

She should have bought a finished product instead of making it herself.

Sa Rang regretted too late.

“But I already received a gift.”

At Do Han’s words, her face flushed.

She could not lift her head, recalling the moment she had hugged him a while ago.

Actually, Sa Rang wanted to go home immediately, but since it was his birthday, she couldn’t miss the cake. She was bearing the embarrassment.

But because Do Han mentioned that moment, her heart beat faster again.

“Thanks. I like it.”

“Do you know what it is?”

“Whatever it is, I like everything you give.”

As Do Han’s gaze deepened, Sa Rang’s heart fluttered, and she avoided his eyes.

With the thought that she had to eat the cake and leave quickly, she cut a large slice of cake and put it in her mouth.

She was vigorously swallowing the melting whipped cream when he wiped her mouth.

He was wiping off the cream that had smeared her lips.

Surprised by the sudden touch, she froze.

“Ah, look at the time… I should leave now.”

Pretending to check a nonexistent watch, Sa Rang quickly put down her fork.

But she was caught by Do Han.

“Stay one more hour.”

Do Han stroked Sa Rang’s cheek.

Feeling her hair stand on end at his touch, Sa Rang tensed up.

“Wh, what are we going to do for an hour?”

She barely managed to speak with a trembling voice. Do Han lightly bit and then released Sa Rang’s lower lip.

The feeling, softer and sweeter than whipped cream, filled his mouth.

“Things like this.”

He turned his head slightly and planted his lips on her cheek.

“And things like this.”

In response to his touch, Sa Rang drew in a deep breath, her senses highly alert.

In the meantime, her back touched the floor.

Could it be again?

Her eyes darted around, unable to predict the next situation.

Do Han smiled softly, as if reading her thoughts.

“I’ll be careful not to wrinkle your clothes.”

She frowned at his words, wondering if that was the real issue. He laughed and kissed her eyes.

“Don’t be scared. I’m just going to kiss.”

Sa Rang was skeptical whether a kiss should only be on the lips.

But even this seemed to have been read, as he raised the corner of his mouth.

“I don’t know where, either.”

Do Han lowered his head towards Sa Rang, whose eyes were wide open.

His breath drew in slowly, holding his lips to their fullest extent, causing a jolt of electricity to shoot through Sa Rang, from her breath to her toes.

She had kissed Do Han countless times, but accepting his lips while lying down was a different experience.

Her head spun as if drunk, and her mind became hazy.

She could not understand how she had managed to cling to him on the bed just a while ago.

As the kiss deepened, Sa Rang felt short of breath.

Do Han momentarily released his lips.

“I should have just gone.”

“…where?”

Sa Rang was panting as if she had run a marathon, and he spoke.

“The hotel.”

For a moment, Sa Rang’s face burned.

She didn’t know why she blushed at the mere mention of that word.

“Should we do the last assignment together?”

“That’s nonsense.”

She scowled with her eyes wide open.

What to write in the report about a date at a hotel.

Thinking of submitting that report to the professor, Sa Rang’s vision went dark.

“Why. I’m confident we’ll do well.”

As she froze in silence, he laughed and pinched her cheek.

“I’m confident we’ll write a good report.”

“Oh. Re, report.”

Sa Rang felt as though her face was on fire.

The embarrassment swept in as the image of herself and Do Han in the hotel room she’d just imagined disappeared with a bang.

“What were you thinking just now?”

“Huh? No, I didn’t think of anything?”

“But why is your face red.”

“Be, because it’s hot. Is it already summer? Ha ha…”
