Sa Rang hurriedly descended the stairs and opened the firstfloor entrance door.

She turned on her cell phone and was about to press the call button when a large hand suddenly appeared and grabbed her wrist.

Startled, Sa Rang looked up to find Do Han in front of her.

“Were you here?”

“I called on my way home.”

A scent of alcohol wafted from him, standing right in front of her.

Looking at his face, it seemed he was quite drunk.

Why does he still look cool even when he’s drunk?

Why did his slightly dazed eyes seem even more attractive?

Even amidst this, Sa Rang found herself being attracted to him again and was flustered.

“Did you drink a lot?”

“Not much.”

“It doesn’t seem so.”

“Why. Do I seem drunk?”

“Yes.”

“Where do you see that?”

Do Han had drunk more than usual, but he didn’t feel drunk.

His friends who had drunk with him said they were fine, but he frowned not understanding why only Sa Rang disagreed.

“You wouldn’t say that if you were sober.”

“What are you talking about.”

“You said you missed me.”

When Do Han didn’t answer, Sa Rang pouted her lips.

“No, why would you say that to Ji Woo?”

“Who told me to avoid his call?”

This time she was silent.

Even if she had ten mouths, she had nothing to say.

“What’s the reason.”

“What reason.”

“Why you didn’t pick up my call, even lying.”

“How am I supposed to know that’s a lie?”

“You don’t sleep at this hour. You must have been doing your assignments.”

Did he install surveillance cameras at my house?

Or a listening device?

Sa Rang was frightened by his intuition that seemed suspiciously accurate.

She now felt like she couldn’t lie to Do Han.

“I thought you might be angry.”

“Why would I?”

“You know, in the student hall during the day, I had you wrapped around my finger…….”

Sa Rang wanted to explain even now.

She almost couldn’t sleep that night because of that, and she was glad she could meet him like this.

“I was really sorry then.”

“You don’t need to apologize. I know it’s all Kim Tae Hoon’s fault.”

Sa Rang, who had been looking down, suddenly raised her head.

He knew everything about her.

Somehow, he felt a bit unfamiliar.

“It doesn’t matter if it was your idea.”

“What?”

“You can have me wrapped around your finger.”

When Sa Rang, shocked, blinked her eyes, Do Han held her hand and started walking slowly.

“Where are we going?”

The direction was towards his house, so Sa Rang was confused.

In just a moment, she had all sorts of wild thoughts, but luckily, they just walked past.

“The park.”

“Why there?”

“I can’t take you home.”

“……Why?”

Sa Rang glanced at Do Han and asked hesitantly.

Swallowing with difficulty, her heart pounded.

“Should we go home then?”

Do Han said nonchalantly, looking down at her as if telling her not to pretend not to know.

Only then did Sa Rang quickly shake her head.

“No. Let’s go to the park, the park. The park is better than home. There are lots of trees and people.”

Looking at her who was blurting out anything because of her fluster, Do Han chuckled.

Once again, he wanted to take Sa Rang to his house, a desire fluttered in his heart.

But he had drunk too much for that.

He thought he wouldn’t be considerate of her and should have never brought her home in the first place.

For a regretfree tomorrow, this choice was the best for him.

All the way to the park, Sa Rang stared at Do Han.

“Why are you looking at me like that.”

“You seem a bit different when you drink.”

“How.”

“You seem kinder.”

Does that mean he’s a bad guy when he’s not drunk? At her absurd remark, Do Han couldn’t help but laugh.

“So, do you like that or hate that?”

“Of course, I like it.”

“Do you like nice guys?”

“No.”

Expecting her to agree but then hearing her say no, he was puzzled.

“Whether you’re kind or not, I like you.”

Sa Rang didn’t have a specific type.

She just liked Ji Do Han.

Unanticipated by her confession, the smile on Do Han’s face faded.

She always said she liked him, but it felt like love.

Today, of all days, he felt sorry for her feelings.

When Do Han abruptly stopped, Sa Rang also halted.

At that moment, a man came running from behind her.

So urgent that he didn’t even look properly ahead, the man seemed like he would soon collide with Sa Rang.

As the sound of footsteps grew louder, she turned around.

Caught off guard by the sudden appearance of the man, Sa Rang froze, unable to dodge him in time.

At that moment, Do Han moved to shield her.

Thud.

Perhaps he had been hit by the man’s bag, for Do Han jolted with a loud noise.

Sa Rang, who had been in his arms, hastily scrambled out and examined him.

“Are you okay?”

He cringed for a moment as if he was hurt.

“I’m okay.”

As Do Han nodded, the man who had collided with him kept apologizing.

“I’m sorry. I was in a rush… I’m really sorry.”

“It’s okay. Go on.”

The man seemed bewildered, so Do Han just let him go.

But his arm was stinging.

It felt as though his bare skin had brushed against something sharp when the man’s bag hit him.

Male lead Asks for a Divorce Every Day

It’s not often you come across a plot like this in the female-dominant genre — make sure to check it out!

This is a novel I’m planning to reread as well.

The male lead is strong, skilled in martial arts, and not the usual fragile type you often see in matriarchal novels.

Meanwhile, the female lead is a scientist—rational and logical. Even when she falls for the male lead, she doesn’t let her emotions cloud her decisions.

If you push through the first few chapters, you’ll gradually find the story really intriguing.

It has a mix of mystery, detective elements, and romance.

The author’s writing style is like crafting a puzzle—except they deliberately leave out a few pieces, making it hard to predict what happens next, yet keeping you hooked.

In the end, everything will come together and be explained.

One-sentence summary: Wife, stop playing with beakers and look at me!

In a laboratory accident, research scientist Zhu Wansheng accidentally travels to a matriarchal world. The original owner of the body is an eighteen-year-old only daughter of a wealthy rouge merchant, already married with a handsome young man.

Zhu Wansheng grins: Nice! She always said she was heaven’s favorite granddaughter. After a life of toil in her previous life, she can enjoy blessings in this one.

However, her joy lasts no more than three seconds as bad news arrives: the original owner’s family is about to go bankrupt, and her husband wants a divorce.

Even worse, she’s stuck with a research system full of restrictions.

Zhu Wansheng: ? Is this the destiny of a research dog?

——

Faced with this mess, Zhu Wansheng pours herself a bowl of wine to drown her sorrows. In her drunken haze, her husband arrives.

His figure is imposing, holding a long sword, with a dignified air that captivates Zhu Wansheng.

Gu Yingqing, however, looks at the alcohol-reeking Zhu Wansheng with undisguised disgust and coldly asks, “Divorce or not?” The intoxicated Zhu Wansheng mumbles vaguely, “I think… it’s not… it’s not… impossible!”

——

The next day, after sobering up, Zhu Wansheng is full of energy, rolling up her sleeves ready to make a big move. As for yesterday? She has no memory of it.

Zhu Wansheng is ambitious; a research dog fears nothing!

Upgrading rouge, extracting fragrances, producing perfumes, researching lipsticks… all shall bow to the power of modern technology!

The original owner’s dying rouge shop is revitalized. Her mother is pleased and with a wave of her hand, passes on the family business to her. As she takes control and her experimental results gain popularity, it’s the pinnacle of her life…

——

But there are always those who can’t stand to see her doing well. Jealousy, scheming, assassination attempts – they want nothing less than her life.

The person who has always kept his distance from her suddenly holds her tightly in his arms, eyes full of concern.

She is unharmed, but he falls into a pool of blood…

Zhu Wansheng feels guilty, “I can grant you one wish.”

Gu Yingqing tentatively circles his arms around her, carefully resting his head in the crook of her neck, pleading softly, “I regret it. Can we not divorce?”

Zhu Wansheng: ? When did I agree to a divorce?

[Small Theater]

The newly developed rouge is beautifully packaged, and Zhu Wansheng is eager to try it.

Gu Yingqing suddenly appears: “My lady, may I apply it for you?”

Cool fingertips lightly brush her lips. His Adam’s apple bobs as he leans in for a light bite.

Zhu Wansheng: ?

Gu Yingqing: It smells so good, I wanted to taste it…

On a warm spring day, Zhu Wansheng tries a new perfume: “Spring Night.” Gu Yingqing corners her against a wall.

Warm breath lingers on her neck.

“My lady, from now on, may I test the fragrances for you?”
