Grinding his teeth in frustration from his unvented anger over losing the game, Tae Hun chased after Do Han.
“Just go there. You don’t care anyway. Ah, is that physical education student uncomfortable? You’re always cool, but that physical education student might be awkward. He seems to like Sa Rang.”
Do Han, who had been walking briskly, suddenly stopped in his tracks.
Thinking Do Han found a suitable place for a drink, Tae Hun looked around.
“I’m uncomfortable too.”
“What?”
Tae Hun, who had been tilting his head as he couldn’t see any restaurant, turned his ears to Do Han’s words.
“I’m also uncomfortable seeing the face of a guy who likes my girlfriend.”
His expression was rigid.
Do Han felt strange, upset seeing his girlfriend with another man.
It had been like that since morning.
He left his house leisurely as his first class was at noon, and sent a message to Sa Rang.
He asked her what time her last class ended and said he would wait for her in front of the classroom.
Even though their schedules didn’t match, they usually had dinner together.
But upon seeing Sa Rang’s reply, Do Han stopped in his tracks.
[I’m meeting Yoon Jae today.]Ah, so today’s the day.
He said he hadn’t had a drink with Jeong Yoon Jae since the semester started, and that they’d do it this week.
Do Han unknowingly wrote a reply asking her not to meet him, but soon erased it.
He felt pathetic, questioning if he even had the right to do that.
Eventually, he simply replied “ok” and moved his feet back to the school, but since then, his mind was filled with a single scene.
The scene he saw through the glass a while ago.
The scene of Sa Rang and Yoon Jae smiling at each other.
From the time the two were supposed to meet, he was just looking at the time on his phone.
They must have met by now.
Are they eating?
Or are they already drinking?
How much have they drunk?
What are they talking about?
Hopefully, Jeong Yoon Jae isn’t confessing again because he’s drunk.
Then, how would Sa Rang respond?
Would she comfort him out of pity?
Then if the atmosphere gets weird…
Do Han’s head was spinning endlessly from his imagination.
“Wow. Are you really jealous?”
Tae Hun opened his mouth, as if he couldn’t understand what was going on.
Do Han is usually indifferent.
Even if his girlfriend was seen with another man, even if he saw her kiss that man, there was no change in his expression.
But now, just because he saw Sa Rang having a drink with her friend, he’s reacting like this.
“Don’t tell me, you… was the reason you were out of it all day because of Sa Rang? Because those two arranged to meet in the evening?”
As Do Han silently averted his gaze, Tae Hun burst into derisive laughter.
Incredible. He’s finally seen Do Han flustered.
The sound of Tae Hun’s laughter grew louder, to the point where he had to clutch his stomach.
But the more he laughed, the deeper the furrow on Do Han’s forehead became.
“Do you like Sa Rang that much? Enough to be jealous just by seeing her with another man?”
“It’s not just another man. It’s a guy with a different mindset.”
“So, you’re worried?”
“Wouldn’t you be if you were in my position?”
“Of course, I’d be worried. But you’re not me. You’re a notorious Do Han.”
Feeling like talking any further was pointless, Do Han quickened his steps.
Tae Hoon followed him, laughing quietly.
“If you’re that worried, call Sa Rang and ask her to come out.”
“No, it’s okay.”
“You’ve been waiting for Sa Rang’s call since a while ago.”
“I said it’s okay.”
Do Han walked ahead, pretending to be indifferent, but then his pocket vibrated.
Thinking it might be Sa Rang, he quickly took out his cell phone.
He looked at the screen, hoping it would be a message that she was home now, but it wasn’t her.
Tae Hoon burst into laughter after looking at the message and seeing Do Han’s disappointed face.
[Don’t worry and please call. Sameday loans for everyone. Team Leader Kim at OO Capital]“Looks like you have a call. From Team Leader Kim.”
Tae Hoon’s teasing made Do Han grit his teeth as he hurriedly shoved his phone back into his pocket.
Tae Hoon couldn’t help but laugh at his friend’s new attitude. It was just too amusing for him.

When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
