“Are you really not going?”
Sa Rang stealthily approached Do Han, looking around them.
She was relieved that he was alone, fearing someone else might be around.
“Are you unwell somewhere?”
She got close to his bed and examined Do Han’s face.
Seeing him with his eyes closed made her heart race like mad.
Why had she come here?
She had been so preoccupied worrying about Do Han’s health that she hadn’t realized what she was doing and where she was.
His house, his bed. And the man lying in front of her.
The person she liked was within her reach.
Flushing, Sa Rang was unable to breathe properly.
What should she do now?

She couldn’t just leave, nor could she wake him up.
She was quietly admiring Do Han’s sleeping face when his eyes slowly opened.
“Weren’t you stopping with the morning calls?”
“What?”
Caught off guard, Sa Rang was flustered.
Do Han looked at her for a moment before sitting up.
“I thought you were stopping.”
“Would that be better for you?”
“Yes.”
She had hoped he would say no, but the word ‘yes’ came back to her immediately. Sa Rang felt her legs go weak.
Trying to hide her feelings, she asked again.
“Do I bother you?”
“A little.”
It hurt more than being told to like someone else.
She regretted her confession more at that moment than ever before.
Do Han, ignoring the hurt look on her face, ran his fingers through his hair as if to reprimand his earlier words.
But then he blurted out another regretful comment.

“Are you really going on the blind date?”
“Should I… not go?”
Even in this situation, seeing her hopeful eyes, Do Han unintentionally spoke his true feelings.
“Don’t go.”
For a moment, Sa Rang’s eyes widened.
She felt her heart drop, a feeling that sent chills down her spine.
What did he mean by that?
Did he not want her to go on the blind date?
As Sa Rang was trying to sort out her tangled thoughts, Do Han sighed.
“I must not be fully sober. Pretend you didn’t hear that and go. I will go to class.”
He got off the bed and went into the bathroom.
As the bathroom door closed, Sa Rang collapsed onto the bed.
She didn’t have the strength to stand anymore.
His words had taken her through heaven and hell.

“I heard him, what am I supposed to do?”
What was she to do with the words that were deeply ingrained in her, which she was supposed to pretend she didn’t hear?
For a moment, she thought he had feelings for her too, and her heart dropped heavily.
“Jerk.”
Sa Rang involuntarily cursed.
Why did she come here?
What did she care if he was sick?
Was she a woman without pride?
Why did she barge into his house to check if he was alive or not, when he had told her to like someone else?
Sa Rang resented her legs that brought her here and hit them with her fist.
Just then, the bathroom door opened abruptly, and her head reflexively turned.
“Ah!”
Startled by Do Han’s bare upper body, Sa Rang quickly covered her face with her hands.

Though it was only a moment, she had seen his solid muscles.
Even though she hadn’t touched them, she felt as if she could feel the firmness in her hands.
Despite being dressed in pants, his wellbalanced upper body reminded her of a male underwear model from a magazine.
Even though she shouldn’t have seen him, she screamed when she did, and Do Han furrowed his brow.
“Anyone would think I broke into your house.”
“What, what are you doing? Why are you out here without a shirt?”
“I thought you left. What are you doing on my bed?”
“I’m going, I was just about to leave.”
Still covering her eyes, Sa Rang stood up and stumbled out.
After ensuring that Sa Rang had safely left the house, Do Han fetched his underwear from the closet.
He had remembered that he had forgotten to bring his underwear after he had taken off his Tshirt to take a shower in the bathroom.
Naturally, he had thought Sa Rang had left, and he had come out without any hesitation, and he too was surprised to find her still there.
Not that he was entirely naked.
Do Han glanced at the bed where Sa Rang had been sitting.

“It’s bothersome in various ways.”
Now, every time he lay on his bed, he was reminded of her.
((())) ((())) ((()))
Sa Rang and Ji Woo sat on a bench in the square in front of the library, facing the spring breeze.
The cherry blossoms were in full bloom.
It was rather unfortunate that they had to study for exams on such a beautiful day.
“Are you not meeting Tae Hoon, oppa?” Sa Rang asked, looking at the fluttering petals.
“I saw him briefly earlier, but, well, we agreed to study together in the library tomorrow.” “Don’t mind me and go see him. You stayed at home all weekend because of me.”
Last weekend, Ji Woo, who felt sorry for going out alone because she now had a boyfriend after hanging out with Sa Rang every day, did not go out.
Sa Rang was recently ill, and also had been rejected by Do Han, which seemed to have piled up and made her feel pitiful.
Knowing her feelings well, Sa Rang told her that there was no need for such concern.
“It wasn’t because of you. It was because it was a hassle to go out in the rain.”

When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
