The moment he stepped into the studio apartment, the space seemed instantly filled to capacity. Kang Woo stood silently in the entranceway, completely drenched.

By now, Se Ah had brought a long bath towel and draped it over Kang Woo’s shoulders. Having been caught in the rain for so long, she worried he might be developing hypothermia.

“I’ve turned the heating up to maximum. Warm yourself up with hot water, then wrap yourself in the blanket and lie down.”

Instead of keeping the towel she had carefully wrapped around him, Kang Woo unwound it and placed it over Se Ah’s shoulders, then stripped off his soaked clothes. After scanning the room, he tossed the wet garments into what looked like a laundry bin.

“Go to the bathroom.”

“Huh? No, I was barely out in the rain—I’m fine. You shower first. I’ll just quickly dry off with the towel and change clothes meanwhile.”

“Is the bathroom so small that two people can’t even fit?”

“…It’s a bit tight, honestly. Hurry up—your lips are turning blue.”

“I wasn’t actually out in the rain that long. Thanks to the generous Ji Se Ah.”

Afraid their pointless bickering might flood the already tiny apartment, Kang Woo scooped Se Ah up, supporting her bottom.

“Put me down. You’re wet—it’s slippery and dangerous…”

“Just let me do this. It’s the most reasonable solution.”

With Se Ah still in his arms, Kang Woo opened the bathroom door. His eyes widened in genuine surprise—as if he were seeing something even more astonishing than he’d anticipated. Se Ah, who’d been resting one hand on his shoulder and the other gently on his forearm, lowered her gaze.

Truth be told, since they’d skipped dating, they’d never visited each other’s homes before. The studio she’d lived in prior to marriage had actually been better than this one… Of all places, it had to be here. Though embarrassed, she also felt an inexplicable flutter of nerves.

Carefully setting her down, Kang Woo undressed Se Ah. He adjusted the showerhead to check the water temperature, then sprinkled warm water onto her skin, already covered in goosebumps.
