Kang Woo was stunned by the sudden turn of events. No matter how hard he wracked his sharp mind, he couldn’t make sense of it.

Why had Min Young shown up out of the blue? Well, assuming that was the case, he’d decided to greet her politely, offer a plausible excuse, and then slip away.

But two staff members arrived directly at the table almost immediately—one carrying two bottles of wine, the other bearing appetizers.

Nam Tae stood courteously by his seat, welcoming Min Young.

“I heard you prefer fish over meat, so I had it prepared accordingly. As for wine, would you prefer red or white?”

“Anything is fine with me.”

“Still, you must have a preference.”

“Then let’s go with red wine.”

At Min Young’s request, the staff member replied, “Yes,” poured a sample of the red wine for her approval, then respectfully took her Chanel bag and cashmere coat before leaving the table.

“CEO Cha. It’s been a while.”

“Yes. I hope you’ve been well.”

The question—*What brings you here?*—stuck in his throat. From the looks of it, she must have made arrangements with his father.

“Why are you just standing there? You need to sit down first—only then can Managing Director Lee take her seat.”

*Seriously? Ugh.* Kang Woo muttered inwardly before reluctantly sitting down. Min Young took the seat beside him.

“Managing Director Lee. I realize it’s impolite to say this right after you’ve arrived…”
