After stepping out of the gate, Se Ah clutched someone’s house wall for support. Her head was spinning, and she felt nauseous.

She heaved repeatedly until she finally calmed down.

With hands in her coat pockets, she trudged towards the subway station.

Despite it being only 6 o’clock, darkness had already fallen due to the winter season.

As she reached the bustling streets, Christmas carols filled the air, and people with festive spirits passed by her.

Walking slowly, she organized her thoughts.

She intended to keep enduring, but she wouldn’t just watch Nam Tae idly.

To make Min Young her daughter-in-law, she was even ready to reveal the contract to Kang Woo if necessary. She was indifferent to the shock and hurt her son would feel upon learning the truth.

But, unlike before, she felt reassured about one thing. Even if she went against Nam Tae’s wishes, she was confident he wouldn’t directly threaten Kang Woo.

So far, Director Lee had only pressured her, being cautious around Kang Woo. Even the tailing was just a warning.

So, although he didn’t care about the pain his son would endure, he couldn’t harm him either.

The mere fact that Kang Woo was safe was enough to alleviate some of her worries.

She habitually pictured Kang Woo’s face. Her heart fluttered when he looked at her intently, his usually stern eyes softening.

The man who seldom smiled now did so frequently, as if cherishing her every small gesture.

His eyes, once cold, now radiated warmth, and his lips, which used to utter only necessary words, now freely expressed his affection. His passion was so intense it was hard to believe.

She couldn’t deny the existence of Cha Kang Woo, who made her laugh and cry.

Yet, she still lacked the courage to reveal the truth to him.

Would he believe her words? Could he embrace her?

If it was all going to end anyway, she wished for it to slow down, just a bit…

She harbored the selfish desire for the impending goodbye to be delayed.

Kang Woo was the first to reach home. Surprised by the sound of the front door, Hyun Sook’s eyes widened.

She had heard from Se Ah that her son would be coming home early but hadn’t believed it. Se Ah wasn’t the type to babble.

But it was true. It seemed like their relationship had improved, and it was time for her to leave with peace of mind.

“I’m home.”

“Oh, my son, you’ve worked hard. It’s so good to see you come home early. I was worried sick with you working all the time.”

Pleased by his mother’s bright demeanor, Kang Woo slightly curled his lips. As he changed into slippers, his gaze drifted towards the bedroom.

“Se Ah hasn’t come back yet. She called a little while ago, saying she’ll be late because she stopped by the library.”

“Okay.”

“Aren’t you hungry? Will you wait to eat with Se Ah?”

“Yes. Please rest, Mom. Don’t worry about me.”

“Alright, I understand.”

“Mom.”

He stopped Hyun Sook, who was about to leave, as a sudden thought occurred to him.

“What is it?”

“Have you heard anything about Se Ah’s parents?”

“Not at all. Why do you ask so suddenly?”

Kang Woo pressed his lips together. Why was he suddenly curious? He was never one to dwell on others’ pasts, not even his own.

“I didn’t tell you, but.. when I was in the hospital, Se Ah came and shed a lot of tears.”
Kang Woo’s brow furrowed as he took off his coat and held it in his hand. The thought of her crying because of him made his heart ache.

“She didn’t say why she was crying. So, I just consoled her, saying it must be because of the autumn blues. It could be true. Why wouldn’t Se Ah have such thoughts?”

“I’ll look into it. I’m not sure if Se Ah wants to find her parents, but…”

Hyun Sook tightly grasped Kang Woo’s hand. Her eyes, filled with regret, trembled softly.

“You didn’t grow up in a very affectionate household… I know it’s hard for you to be warm to others. I’m sorry for that.”

“Ha. I should’ve handled it myself. Seems like I only upset you for no reason.”

“…Do you occasionally contact your father?”

“Yes. We had dinner not long ago.”

He refrained from expressing his true feelings, which weren’t exactly what he wished for, for the sake of propriety.

“That’s good.”

“I’m going to change clothes.”

Kang Woo entered the dressing room and opened the wardrobe. He hung up his jacket and placed his shirt and tie in the dry cleaning bin.

From the bottom, he pulled out a dress box.

He thought about laying it on the bed before Se Ah arrived. Although the launch party plans fell through, he felt it was a nice gesture.

He pictured Se Ah spinning around in the dress, and a smile naturally formed on his face.

Director Lee entered his house. He glanced around the 30-pyeong space he had left vacant for a while. Even with adequate furniture, it felt empty.

Chasing after Nam Tae all day often led to him sleeping at Cha Ui Won’s house. He couldn’t come home for more than 20 days in a month.

He turned on the heating and sat down on the sofa. In front of him hung a family photo.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
