Se Ah ended her meeting with Hyun Suk and returned home.

It was a quiet weekend when the housekeeper did not come to work. Kang Woo had gone to work early in the morning, leaving the house silent. She went straight to the dressing room, put the shopping bag on the floor, and hung her coat in the wardrobe.

The dressing room also functioned as a powder room. She usually used the vanity in the bedroom, but it was quite minimalistic there. Just the essential cosmetics were all she had.

However, here were all sorts of luxuries. From clothes and bags to cosmetics. There were many new items she had not even opened yet. It was thanks to Kang Woo, who never skimped on material gifts.

Sitting at the vanity, she untied her hair. Her long hair, marked by the hairband, curved and fell below her shoulders. She also put the earrings and necklace she had taken off into the jewelry box.

Before she got married, she had a lot of fantasies about marriage. None of them included a large dressing room filled with her clothes, expensive jewelry, and cosmetics.

Not that she was so naive as to think she could live on just love, even if it meant eating only ramen.

She just wanted to live a normal life, loving someone and being sweet to them. To work hard together on weekdays and be close to each other on weekends.

To have children that resembled her and her husband, to feel a happy smile even when they couldn’t sleep at night watching the growing child. She had grown up lonely, so she had to have at least two children! She had such cute dreams.

Having fallen in love and married Kang Woo, who was far from ordinary, the fantasy was just that. She knew all too well that it was greedy to want even that. Even if it weren’t for the conditions of the contract with Nam Tae, she would not have dared to demand attention and love from him.

“Se Ah. Be careful with that kid.”
“You shouldn’t judge a person by a brief encounter, but she’s too friendly on first meeting, and her eyes and words are blunt rather than innocent. I’ve seen that type in the social world. Se Ah rubbed her temples at the memory of Hyun Suk’s words. Her head throbbed more at the thought that she was not the only one who had been sensitive. Min Young was circling around Kang Woo for collaboration, and it made her nervous.

She picked up a towel and a new pair of pajamas that smelled faintly of fabric softener. Since no one was around, it was time to undress here and go to the nearby bathroom.

She took off her dress and was left in a slip. As she was slipping off the shoulder straps, the dressing room door suddenly opened.

“Ah! You surprised me!”
“When did you come? I didn’t hear you come in.”
“I came a little while ago. When did you get home, Kang Woo?”
Whether he had been back for a while, he was in casual clothes after a shower.

“I guess it’s been an hour. I took a shower, changed clothes, and must have fallen asleep waiting for you.”

She put the shopping bags in the wardrobe as they were, planning to organize them later.

Kang Woo knocked on the surface of the wardrobe. He leaned sideways, one strong shoulder against the wardrobe door.

“Went with mother?”
How did he know? Did my motherinlaw tell him? I was startled by his spoton guess.

“It’s obvious, huh? You, who are not so greedy, wouldn’t go shopping alone.”
“…Who says I’m not greedy? I like shopping too.”
She was surprised that he knew more about her than she thought, but she pretended otherwise.

“Then go with me. Shop and get some fresh air.”
Bang. The wardrobe door closed tightly, and Se Ah changed her step.

“Silence is consent. Shall we go tomorrow?”

“I’m hungry.”
“Let’s eat. There are plenty of side dishes that auntie prepared before leaving.”

Se Ah crossed her arms over her body covered by a towel, looking at him who feigned innocence. Kang Woo chuckled seeing her quite sulkily.
