Se Jin, thoroughly humiliated by Yura, was on the verge of going insane. All the plans he’d drawn up in his head since deciding to come to Korea had turned to foam, and he now genuinely believed he was even receiving death threats.

Terrified that Yura’s final words might actually come true, he was trembling uncontrollably and holed up in his hotel.

“This isn’t how it’s supposed to be….”

Chewing over Yura’s harsh words—still hard to believe even after hearing them—Se Jin tried to pinpoint exactly where things had gone wrong, step by step.

Yet no matter how hard he thought, he couldn’t figure out why everything had spiraled so badly out of control. What was even harder to accept was that he couldn’t even perform anymore, and his entire career now seemed on the verge of collapsing in an instant.

“Damn these bastards! When they needed me, they were all smiles, took my money, and now they’re stabbing me in the back like this!”

What hurt most, however, was that the very people who’d shamelessly exposed his misdeeds in interviews everywhere were now turning their backs on him. With even Joo Hye Rim abandoning him, Se Jin found himself completely stuck—unable to move forward or backward—and utterly lost.

Just then, Joo Hye Rim came back to see Se Jin.

Convinced she was the root of all his troubles, Se Jin glared at her murderously—but Hye Rim didn’t even flinch. Instead, she smirked faintly and tossed a plane ticket onto the table.

“What’s this?”

“Can’t you tell just by looking? It’s a ticket to the U.S.”

“I’m asking why you’re giving it to me!”

Se Jin shouted in frustration, but Hye Rim merely shrugged as she slowly scanned the room.

“We’re no longer covering your accommodation. Think you can manage on your own?”

“You think I’m worried about some measly hotel bill?”
