“Yeah, there’s no good in hiding like this. It’s better to confidently go out and do my part, which can give more strength to innocence.”
Mihee, looking at Yura with eyes full of concern, asked.
“But surely reporters will gather, and people will gossip. Are you okay?”
“I understand the concern you both have. But really, I’m okay.”
Yura deliberately smiled brightly, making an effort to show her determination. There was not absolutely no discomfort in this choice.
She knew it wouldn’t be easy to endure the blame directed at her and the framing as an adulteress. However, she also knew that she had to overcome and endure it.
Mihee, sitting opposite her, lightly stroked Yura’s hand. It felt somewhat similar to the warmth she had felt from Baek Ihyun.
“Don’t try to endure it alone. If you have difficulties, tell us anytime.”
“I’ve already informed Jinho separately, so don’t worry too much.”
“Yes, thank you, Mom, Dad.”
Yura felt lighter-hearted after receiving encouragement from her in-laws. Meanwhile, Ihyeon, who had been keeping his mouth tightly shut all along, was a concern. Was he not in agreement with this decision? Without saying anything, he seemed to be watching her every move.

She had tried to discuss this issue with Ihyeon last night, but he didn’t return to the bedroom until Yura fell asleep. She wondered if he had slept separately in the study, but when she opened her eyes, he was still there, radiating warmth and his scent.
Yura wasn’t sure if Ihyeon liked the words she blurted out without prior discussion. Unlike her in-laws, Ihyeon still harbored seeds of suspicion.
Deciding to have a conversation with Ihyeon after the meal, Yura continued eating. As the meal was nearing its end, Ihyeon, who had been silent throughout, calmly spoke.
“Don’t drive. I’ll arrange a driver for you.”
“Uh… Okay.”
She agreed without feeling the need to say it wasn’t necessary. Ihyeon finished talking, as if the meal and the discussion were over.
“When you finish eating, let’s get up.”
Before she could respond, Ihyeon stood up abruptly and gave a light bow to his parents.
“We’ll get up first.”
“Sure.”

Yura also got up, bowed her head, and followed Ihyeon to the second floor to prepare for work. His silently walking figure behind her felt unfamiliar.
Not knowing what he was thinking and not receiving any words about how work was progressing, Yura felt annoyed. It made her uncomfortable that she was giving him more work when he was already busy and distracted. If she could, she wanted to handle it with her own hands.
Regardless of what others said, this was a problem between Oh Sejin and Yura. That’s why she decided confidently to go to work.
When they descended to the entrance after packing their belongings, the in-laws were waiting with the car. Politely greeting them, they turned around, but Mihee’s earnest plea followed.
“Don’t go to the newlywed house for a while; commute from here. Okay?”
“Yes, understood.”
Yura left a cool smile and followed Ihyeon. In the garage, there was the same sedan model that Ihyeon usually drove. It felt burdensome as she would attract even more attention driving such an expensive car.
Before Yura could ask if there was no other vehicle, Ihyeon spoke first.
“If, by any chance, you encounter reporters, don’t answer any questions.”
“Okay.”

“I’ll have a driver attached separately.”
“There’s no need for that.”
In a situation where a driver was being arranged separately, adding a bodyguard seemed impractical. It was an action that seemed beyond common sense.
“I’m anxious, so…”
Yura’s expression sank rapidly at Ihyeon’s words.
“What are you anxious about? Are you anxious because the news might be true?”
Yura couldn’t bring herself to spit out the question lingering in her mouth. Since the conversation about compensation for damages yesterday, Ihyeon had continued in a state of silence. It seemed as if he didn’t want to engage in any conversation unless necessary.
Was Ihyeon so hated by Yura, or did he want to detach any remaining affection, perhaps anticipating an impending divorce? The now cold and changed Ihyeon was simply unpleasant.
“If I’m disliked, I won’t do it?”
“No.”
“Then do as you wish.”

Yura answered sarcastically and headed towards the back seat, which the driver had left open. When she tried to get in the car, Ihyeon blocked her path, making eye contact. Yura shot him a glare full of pent-up resentment.
Ihyeon’s plea, mixed with a sigh, followed.
“After finishing important matters, leave work early. Don’t stay late.”
“Okay, got it. I’ll leave first.”
Yura pushed him aside as if turning away from Ihyeon and got into the car.
Ihyeon couldn’t take his eyes off the departing vehicle as it quickly left the garage.
When the garage door closed again, and Yura was no longer visible, he furrowed his brow, feeling a throbbing headache. Standing there for a while, Ihyeon got into the car and told the driver the destination.
“To Jinhwa Group.”
“Yes.”
Jinwoo anxiously perused the articles going up and down in the press.

“Hyung, is this really okay?”
“Don’t worry. They can’t even put out a refutation article. I did the interview like this; what more can they do?”
Watching Sejin swaggeringly satisfied while looking at the articles, Jinwoo bit his lip.
“But this… it’s…”
“Be careful with your words. Got it?”
“Yes…”
Jinwoo knew the article was false. He had heard from Sejin about Jinyura to some extent, and since coming to Korea, he roughly knew about what had happened between them.
How could audacious lies deceive people?
Would CH Group just sit idly by this matter? It wasn’t just Jinyura’s personal problem; it was connected to the company’s image. No matter how much he thought about it, Sejin seemed not to consider that aspect.
“It came out so beautifully. Should I ask for the original of this picture?”

Mumbling while looking at Jinyura’s photo in the article, Sejin looked like a lunatic.
When Jinwoo first entered this industry, Sejin was the first artist he managed. Although he had heard occasionally that artists tended to have some unconventional temperaments, Sejin seemed to go beyond that level.
“As expected, you’re most beautiful when you’re by my side.”
The Osaejin reflected in Jinwoo’s eyes seemed like a mentally disturbed person lost in delusions. A strange chill ran down his spine as he felt the fear and horror of what might happen in the future.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
