Yura gazed at the hand extended by Oh Sejin, bewildered by his behavior in front of her. Acknowledging the pouring gazes too late, she reluctantly clasped his hand.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Jin Yura.”
Jin Ho was still fidgeting uncomfortably. Yura’s expression hardened rapidly when Oh Sejin made an unexpected suggestion.
“How about we have lunch together, since it’s about time?”
Jin Ho hastily wedged between them, blocking Sejin’s request.
“Our Team Manager Jin has an external meeting and needs to leave. Let’s postpone the lunch to another time.”
“Oh, is that so?”
“Team Manager Jin, you should get going.”
Jin Ho tried his best to defuse the situation, but Yura felt no sympathy. She felt like grabbing him by the collar if she could.
“Sorry, I must excuse myself first.”

With a formal goodbye, Yura wanted to escape from between these two men. An unexpected request from Oh Sejin halted her.
“Team Manager Jin, could you possibly drop me at my lodging on your way out?”
“What?”
“It’s on the way out from the art center, to a hotel nearby. It won’t take extra time.”
Suddenly, all eyes in the room turned towards Yura. Overwhelmed by the abrupt situation, she frowned.
Was this his reason for showing up unannounced?
Yura pondered her next move. Amidst the palpable tension, an employee chimed in.
“It would be convenient since Team Manager Jin is heading out, to accompany him.”
Yura took a breath and managed an awkward smile. Left with no choice but to agree, she replied.
“…Yes, alright.”

Aware of the glances being exchanged, Yura knew refusing would likely spark rumors about her and Oh Sejin.
Having asked Oh Sejin to wait in the parking lot, Yura headed back to her office. Her mind, as if hollowed out with scissors, struggled to process the events.
After retrieving her car keys from the bag hanging on the coat rack, Yura hesitated to leave.
She never imagined encountering him at her workplace. The secrecy around Jin Ho’s selection of the halftime performer now seemed to unravel.
“Why Oh Sejin!”
Knowing about her history with Oh Sejin, yet choosing him as a performer, twisted her insides.
Yura took a deep breath and slowly calmed her agitated expression.
This was her workplace, where personal emotions should not interfere. She left the office, thinking there must be a way to handle this.
Yet, Oh Sejin awaited her at the elevator, contrary to her request to wait in the parking lot.
He had always been like that, insisting on accompanying her whenever she was to fetch her car. Back then, his persistence made her heart flutter, but now it was merely irksome.

The elevator ride down to the parking lot was filled with a tense silence. Yura wanted to firmly dismiss him now that they were away from the employees, but as a performer visiting the venue, she couldn’t even do that.
Once in the parking lot, Yura stood by her car and opened the backseat door.
“Please, get in.”
Sejin glanced at the open backseat door, then gently smiled and bypassed Yura to open the passenger door instead.
“I’ll sit here.”
Yura’s gaze turned icy as she watched him brazenly take the front seat without permission.
Soon, Yura, unable to contain her boiling anger, slammed the backseat door shut and took a deep breath. She felt like throwing the car keys on the ground and yanking Oh Sejin out of the car right then and there.
Chewing over the saying that the gods only give trials one can handle, Yura hoped that this so-called divine being would keep their end of the deal and headed to the driver’s seat. She always drove calmly and gently, especially since she had an accident by hitting a pole while engulfed in emotion.
“Our Yura really drives well.”
Her long-standing efforts were now wavering. Sejin’s familiar and friendly tone made Yura grip the steering wheel tighter.
Back when they were dating, her mother had bought her a car as a graduation gift. With it, Yura became Sejin’s chauffeur for his piano lessons. His reminiscent words fueled her anger even more.

How dare he speak to her like that? Swamped with rage, Yura turned on the radio, filling the car with smooth jazz music, and Sejin spoke again.
“Are you mad?”
“…….”
“Did I make too surprising an appearance?”
Yura didn’t budge an inch, and he called her name in the affectionate tone he used to use.
“Yura.”
Thankfully, they arrived at their destination just then. Yura parked at the hotel entrance and corrected him with a cold, professional tone.
“I’m Team Manager Jin Yura.”
The threat in her tone was unmistakable, yet he continued as if unaffected.
“Aren’t you happy to see me?”

Yura scoffed without looking at him, responding mechanically.
“It’s an honor to serve you like this.”
“Yura…”
“I’m sure you can make your way to the room from here.”
“Right. See you again. We have plenty of time.”
His farewell carried a hint of conceding for now, but Yura kept her gaze fixed forward. As soon as he got out of the car, she pressed the accelerator without mercy.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
