At the same time as Lee Hyun and Jin-ho’s tense exchange, Yura and Se-jin were also in the midst of a dispute.
“How long are you going to keep up this nonsense?”
Yura, unable to completely ignore the unchanged Se-jin, finally snapped at him. The word ‘we’ had never been so unpleasant.
Whether it was influenced by her marriage status or perhaps her unstable feelings towards Lee Hyun, it wasn’t clear. But it was certain that her current position wasn’t just as Jin Yura of Songrim Art Center but also as the wife of CH Group’s Vice President Baek Lee Hyun, which made her feel even more uncomfortable.
“Until you acknowledge my feelings.”
Realizing ignoring him might not be the best approach, Yura couldn’t help but scoff.
“Why are you doing this now?”
“I told you. I still love you.”
Se-jin repeated the same absurdity as before. The word ‘love’ now seemed almost nonexistent.
Se-jin’s logic of persistently discussing love without a clear reason felt like there was something more. Yura twisted her lips at this uncomfortable notion.

“Feeling regretful now? In what aspect?”
Was it because he thought Yura’s family would provide strong support? But that didn’t add up, as she had already told him during their dating days that she was the second child of the Jinwha Group.
Or was it because of her changed status? But even that didn’t grant her significant power since it couldn’t surpass Argon. What was fueling his persistence?
“It’s more about wanting to correct my mistake and win you back.”
“The bus has already left. I’m married.”
“There’s a good solution called divorce.”
Yura felt as if something had struck her head hard.
Se-jin not backing off even after her marriage and honeymoon, and now suggesting divorce, was baffling. She had married Lee Hyun under the premise of divorcing after two years. Se-jin’s statement made her feel as if her vulnerability was exposed.
Of course, Se-jin didn’t know about the contract, but it raised the question of whether he really still harbored feelings of love to that extent.
Yura stared at Se-jin with a contorted face. She couldn’t be sure of the emotions in his eyes, but it was clear it wasn’t love.

Having met numerous artists and encountered various personalities over five years, she had grown in her insight and ability to gauge what lay beneath people’s surfaces.
She wasn’t sure why Se-jin was showing such twisted obsession towards her, and no clear solution came to mind.
Despite her harsh rejection and even getting married to deter him, it all seemed futile.
“Are you insane? You think that’s something to say to a woman who just returned from her honeymoon?”
“Your marriage doesn’t have love anyway.”
Yura let out a sarcastic laugh at Se-jin’s confident statement. He looked like a misguided teenager, imposing his feelings without understanding hers.
“Who says it doesn’t have love?”
“You don’t love a guy like Baek Lee Hyun.”
“What if I do? I love him.”
Yura, taken aback by her own careless utterance, was surprised. She had thought it was just the lingering feelings of an unfulfilled first love.
It was an emotion she had been deliberately ignoring, not wanting it to intensify. The sudden outburst made her wonder if it was her true feelings, leaving her with a bitter taste.

Yura masked her surprise and bitterness with annoyance, and coldly retorted.
“And don’t refer to someone else’s husband so disparagingly. He’s not someone to be disrespected.”
“That’s not love. You’re deluding yourself.”
“It’s you who’s deluding yourself.”
The more they talked, the more it felt like sinking into a quagmire of frustration. Wanting to end the conversation, Yura was annoyed by Se-jin’s unreasonable remarks.
“You still have feelings for me, I know it.”
“Because of that fountain pen?”
“It means something, but it’s your anger towards me that proves it.”
“I hadn’t even remembered who gave me that fountain pen. I was just using it because it felt familiar. I was thinking of getting rid of it, and luckily it’s gone now.”
Yura, tired of the pointless conversation, rubbed her temples. The subtly missing fountain pen now brought a sense of relief.

Se-jin was deeply mistaken. He seemed to think her anger stemmed from lingering feelings. Hence his absurd logic and insistence.
He believed she kept the fountain pen because it was his gift. Who would have thought such a trivial item could be the cause of Se-jin’s obsession? She should have disposed of it earlier instead of using it out of habit.
Yura, rubbing her throbbing forehead, waved her hand dismissively.
“Let’s stop this kind of conversation.”
“Right, it was a heavy topic. There’s a cafe nearby, you’ll like it. Let’s go.”
Yura felt as if she was talking to a wall. She was saddened by how much he had changed. Despite this, not wanting to be swayed any longer, she firmly declined his offer.
“It’s practice time now. Pianist Oh Se-jin.”
“We can eat something. Come on, Yura.”
As she evaded his extended hand, stepping back,
“I’ll take care of what my wife eats.”

When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
