They’d made this choice because, as first-time parents who both had to work, they figured they’d need help from older family members. Surprisingly, Heon Tae and Mi Jung were overjoyed—they welcomed the decision with open arms. Hearing that they’d barely slept from excitement over caring for the newborn, Da Jung gave a soft smile.

Jae Ho, who’d been driving, glanced back at Da Jung seated with the baby and smiled along with her.

“Grandfather’s going crazy. He already called in a postpartum helper and started getting trained two weeks while you were at the care center.”

“Really?”

“Yeah. After hearing that modern mothers dislike old-fashioned baby-rearing methods, he’s been enthusiastically relearning everything. And it’s not just him—Mom’s just as serious.”

Jae Ho playfully feigned seriousness and shook his head, making Da Jung laugh a little more.

“I’ve missed everyone so much. I wonder how thrilled they’ll be.”
