A familiar scent filled the house as I dragged my exhausted body home. In an instant, my blood boiled. I kicked off my shoes as if throwing them and entered the living room—only to find Da Jung sitting on the sofa.

An indescribable sense of relief spread through my entire body.

Jae Ho tossed his jacket carelessly onto the living room floor and walked slowly toward her.

“Da Jung.”

It had been a hard day. In fact, every day lately had been like this. Had all this exhaustion really been because of Yoon Da Jung’s absence? The moment I saw Da Jung, my fatigue vanished completely, and I could finally breathe again.

Jae Ho swallowed the rest of his sentence with effort and froze in place.

He turned away from Da Jung, his face hardened into ice.
