Every night before she fell asleep, he’d whisper sweetly into her ear like a lullaby, filling her completely with happiness.

Jae Ho spoke in a low voice.

“I know. I’m sorry. I was the one who suggested leaving first.”

“Out of the blue—they were already right in front of me when they called. I wanted to avoid an awkward situation.”

“I wished Yoon Da Jung would step away for a moment. I’m sorry I couldn’t think of a better solution.”

Each word of apology flew toward her like an arrow.
