For several days, Lee Sae-ah’s face looked haggard from sleepless nights.
What seemed like kindness to Heontae was just an act, and in reality, Lee Sae-ah was a tyrant in the strategy room. Wielding the power of the owner’s family, she ignored the employees and didn’t hesitate to use harsh language. Now, she was bitterly regretting her past actions.
She needed to make at least one person her ally. Even though she hurriedly contacted a few people, all that came back was polite distance.
These crazy people.
Until when did Jae-ho think he would remain in that position?
Ignoring even the lowest-ranking employees, she thought nothing of creating factions, and due to that, she now had no idea how the strategy room was operating. Not expecting to be cast aside like this, the sense of frustration was even greater.
Moreover, the truth that must never be revealed.
Lee Sae-ah mainly handled Taemyung’s new business and took rebates as if it were her own money each time. Initially, it was in the hundreds or thousands, but as she became more daring, she received amounts in the billions later on. She eliminated the evidence, but she couldn’t shake off the vague sense of anxiety.
She was afraid of how much Jae-ho would uncover, maybe even digging into the secret ledger.
Jin-hyuk needed to take the position of the leader as soon as possible. Sae-ah considered that her only way to survive. If he were her grandfather, he wouldn’t forgive her, but her father might be more lenient. Just for that reason, she earnestly supported her father.

Dajeong had dinner with Kyung-jun, who came to Seoul after a long time.
Kyung-jun was looking at Dajeong with worried eyes as if she was going to die, but he didn’t ask anything. Dajeong knew he was considering her feelings. After the funeral of Chamyung-suk, Kyung-jun never brought up any topic that could make Dajeong uncomfortable.
It was a bit unsettling, but she could endure it. It was a light and enjoyable dinner filled with casual and pleasant conversation.
Afterwards, she sent Kyung-jun, who offered to take her home, away and walked alone along the path in the apartment complex. Dajeong avoided the chilly wind and thought about the man who was busy with overtime again today.
“Is Kyung-jun the only friend you have?”
A scoffing voice.
But she eventually made a reservation at a restaurant herself since she felt guilty for the arbitrary dispatch. “Tell him that it’s where I live.”
A mischievous jealousy, seemingly without any intention of hiding it, gently scratched at her heart. From the moment she first saw him until now, he had always been a man who tickled her heart.
After that day, Dajeong had two more ultrasounds, and now she was at the 10th week of pregnancy. The baby, now clearly in human form, swam around the uterus freely, showing vitality. Dajeong carefully stored that sight in her eyes.

Because it was a sight she wouldn’t be able to see again.
Although there is an app where you can watch ultrasound videos again, Dajeong did not sign up. Since formal medical examination is required for eligibility, and she hasn’t made up her mind to see a doctor yet. So, Dajeong didn’t even have a maternity record.
She was in the process of quietly deciding to disappear with the baby.
Dajeong was getting busier with various businesses that she didn’t know well. Every time the successor to Taemyung was highlighted in the news, she keenly felt how influential he was.
A man born with a diamond spoon in his mouth. Living a life strictly on the elite course.
The weight of what he had to take responsibility for was graphically displayed in the news, each time facing a downward curve. Dajeong absentmindedly looked at the news, wondering how much further that curve would drop after marrying Yoon Dajeong.
Her little father declared to dismiss her grandfather, and perhaps it was because of Jae-ho, but the man didn’t say anything about it.
From the day Dajeong talked with Kyung-mi, several days passed, and one day, she finally admitted that she couldn’t enter his world and decided to let him go.
At the same time, she thought about how to protect the baby alone.
She searched for government support for unmarried mothers, maternity leave, and daycare centers, planning out her life with the child in detail. Nothing was easy, but she found solace in the fact that there were many people raising children alone.
She could do it.

But she was afraid of saying goodbye to the man. Remembering his persistent behavior from the last breakup, she was already scared.
While thinking about such things, she turned the corner, and there was someone standing in front of her. Dajeong stopped walking. On a dark night, the person who seemed like a shadow opened his mouth after seeing Dajeong.
“Nice to meet you. Miss Yoon Dajeong. I’m Oh Chaewon.”

They say women’s intuition is scary.
Come to think of it, Dajeong had a strange premonition even on the day of her brother’s math trip. His back, leaving the house with a sniffle due to a cold, lingered like a lingering image.
Strange and uncomfortable feeling.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
