Suddenly, his large palm that had been running up my neck pushed back my hair. Levanfell’s sweet breath touched my nowexposed neck.
His lips roamed over my neck, like stamping a seal, but that was all.
All he did was exhale his hot breath. He never pressed his cherryred lips against it. It was I who became restless.
“Your, Your Majesty.”
My toes involuntarily curled. A dark passion, stirring deep in my stomach, flowed with the breath.
“…Levanfell, not Majesty.”
Levanfell’s somewhat rough thumb softly stroked my lips.
“You used to call me that, Teri.”
My mind began to fog. The sound of our breathing and inhalations became intertwined as the distance closed.
The throbbing of my heart made his soft voice barely audible.
I was about to close my eyes slowly.
Our mingled breath warmed my body, and then suddenly, my heart ached uncontrollably.
“…”
But then, without time to feel the pain, a thin shield formed around my body.
“…What’s this?”
Levanfell, who had been tilting his head and leaning forward, suddenly furrowed his brow at the shield that had formed around me.
Fortunately, it didn’t exert physical force, so it didn’t push Levanfell away.
“…We were in a very hot mood just now.”
“That’s not it, it looks like I managed to create a shield.”
I never thought this method would succeed… but it did?
I extricated myself from Levanfell’s arms, a flustered look on my face. He tried to hold on to me, looking regretful, but eventually, he had to step back.
“…The shield has no tact.”
Levanfell clicked his tongue regretfully, but I broke into a happy grin. I may not be able to do anything right now, but I was happy to have used my power in the form I wanted.
“Your Majesty! That kiss thing earlier was just to help me, right?”
I was so shocked, thinking you were suddenly going to kiss me and all sorts of thoughts crossed my mind!
“Thank you for helping me, Your Majesty!”
Levanfell, who had been sweeping back his hair, looking disappointed, couldn’t help but smile at my gratitude.
“If the Empress is pleased, I can do anything.”
If you wish, I can even give up the Emperor’s throne.
Levanfell looked at me and held a deep smile at his lips.
(This is a time separator.)
Time passed.
I assisted the termination of the designers’ suffering from an unfair contract at the top with the help of Jaerim and Raven.
And I created a new identity as an anonymous top owner and entered into an exclusive contract with the designers.
As the drastic conditions spread widely, there were times when the distributors who were distributing also asked for an exclusive contract and already leaned into the contract.
Every time, Raven stepped forward to make sure I didn’t suffer a loss, quickly calculating.
“Raven. If you leave the Liranep family, it might be nice to start a business. You seem to have the talent.”
“Right now, the Empress is monopolizing this ground, so what would happen if you go out and start a business?”
“……Maybe an anonymous top owner will become richer than the Empire’s Empress.”
“If someone doesn’t manage the national treasury and leaves it as it is, the income earned by the anonymous top owner will be greater in the future.”
Raven seriously advised every time he had time that a thorough national treasury management plan must be set up.
“There’s a limit to Lord Jaerim handling financial affairs and proceeding with work. A person’s body is only one.”
“I agree with that.”
“How about choosing a suitable person from among the candidates mentioned as the next financial manager?”
“According to Jaerim, the only one suitable for that position is you, Raven.”
“You promised to exclude me.”
“I did, but Jaerim says there’s no one else usable at the moment.”
“New talent is always born.”
Power, wealth, fame. Raven struggled to avoid the path where everyone could have everything they wanted.
Even while preparing for the Etheria Empire welcome party, he drank endlessly and attended parties, creating scandals with several women.
It was as if he wished for those rumors to spread continuously throughout the Empire. But even then, he diligently helped me prepare for the party.
As the final stages approached, I put full force into preparing the party for the first time during the day, and at night, I spent time with Levanfell, following Mue’s advice.
We slept in the same bed without using any divine power, just in case. Unable to receive treatment, Levanfell seemed to be getting weaker day by day.
But to my worried self, Levanfell just mumbled something incomprehensible, saying it was better to be tired than sober.
And finally.
“Welcome the Emperor of the Leonharta Empire.”
The Emperor of the Etheria Empire arrived at the Imperial Palace.
“Welcome, Emperor of Etheria.”
Levanfell and the Emperor of Etheria lightly shook hands.
The line of carriages was endless. The origin of the Etheria Empire was said to be a barbarian tribe that had not settled in one place. They grew their influence and eventually revived the empire over several hundred years.
“Oh, is this the rumored Empress?”
The Emperor of Etheria turned his eyes and looked at me. The appearance of the Emperor of Etheria looked very rugged. He looked more like a chieftain than an Emperor.
“As beautiful as the rumors…… Hmmm.”
The Emperor of Etheria leaned forward and took a deep breath. I was startled by his sudden action and pulled back, but the Emperor of Etheria seemed unconcerned.
“You really have a scent full of life, just like the rumors.”
The Etheria Empire was a country that matched the Leonharta Empire’s military power. It could not be ignored.
“Please stay comfortably, Emperor of Etheria.”
“I heard that the rumored Empress prepared the welcome party herself…… It’s an honor.”
“I’ll be thankful if you enjoy it.”
“Enjoy…… That’s up to you, Empress.”
The Emperor of Etheria showed his teeth and chuckled.
‘Scary!’
It seemed like an attempt to smile kindly, but perhaps because his expression was so bad, it was frightening.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
