“You don’t have to look so troubled. Do you dislike me that much?”

To make a long story short, upon seeing that photo, his grandmother mistook you for his girlfriend—and he didn’t deny it.
“I’m sorry. She’d finally found some cheer, and I didn’t want to spoil her happiness, so I just went along with it.”
Though Eun Woo apologized, Seul Hee couldn’t bring herself to be angry—not when his grandmother was unwell. In fact, it was surprising to discover this unexpectedly tender side hidden behind Eun Woo’s usually cold demeanor.
Looking uneasy, Eun Woo frowned.
“But now, my grandmother wants to meet you.”
“Me?”
So that was why he’d taken her to that expensive restaurant and treated her to dinner. Now it finally made sense.
Rather than anger, understanding his situation actually eased Seul Hee’s tension considerably.
“So that’s how it is…”
Mr. Ok didn’t actually like her. His grandmother had simply mistaken her for his girlfriend and now wanted to see her.
She felt both relief and something else she couldn’t quite name.

An awkward silence settled over them as the restaurant staff served dessert—adorably arranged, delicate-looking dishes. Eun Woo pointed toward the dessert placed before him.
“That’s all I needed to say. Now that I understand your situation, let’s eat.”
Right. Let’s eat. Food isn’t to blame. Leaving such steaming, delicious food untouched would be a crime.
Unlike Seul Hee, who began eating, Eun Woo simply stared at her. As she cut into what looked like a freshly baked chocolate fondant, rich brown sauce oozed out slowly. The sweet aroma made Seul Hee’s eyes soften and the corners of her mouth lift into a smile.
