The wind was blowing violently, and the signboard left outside had flown away, it was a chaotic day. It was as if a typhoon was blowing, and Seol Hee couldn’t keep the signboard outside, so she brought it inside.

“Oh, one of our prairie dogs is sick.”
He showed her the large cage.

Eun Woo had been affiliated with the internal medicine lab at the university, and his professor was a specialist in rodents. So after graduation, he was naturally familiar with rodents as he continued to assist the professor with some research.

Currently, the professor is on sabbatical. So Jin Ho occasionally brought rodents that were difficult for him to treat to Eun Woo. Animals from the zoo sometimes received such external treatment as well.

Today, a prairie dog had been lethargic and had lost appetite since a few days ago, so he told Eun Woo, who asked him to bring it. So he rushed over. Prairie dogs were among the rare animals with few vets capable of treating them in Korea.

Jin Ho entered the treatment room with the cage. Then, Eun Woo, wearing a gown, took the cage and spoke.

Visiting Eun Woo meant seeing Chae Rin at Dolmare Animal Hospital. So Jin Ho took great care from the morning. He didn’t want it to look strange, so he slicked his hair back a bit, wore a neat shirt, and even put on shoes that he rarely wore.

“What else? You said it’s in good condition.”
Eun Woo was still narrowing his eyes, looking at Jin Ho, then he looked at the prairie dog in the cage.
“You’re talking about the prairie dog, right? Didn’t you say it was lethargic and not moving even last night? Now it seems to have a lot more energy.”
True to Eun Woo’s words, the prairie dog in the cage was busily moving around. The rustling noise was noisy. The fluffy prairie dog’s black eyes sparkled.
“Oh, you were talking about the prairie dog.”

“So it’s about the prairie dog, what could it have meant?”
That’s fair. Eun Woo had no interest in his own demeanor. At Jin Ho’s words, Eun Woo narrowed his eyes.
“You didn’t bring it in just because it’s not sick, did you?”
At Eun Woo’s suspicion, Jin Ho jumped.

“Something seems off.”
And then Eun Woo carefully took the prairie dog out of the cage and placed it on the examination table. The prairie dog brought in today was one of the least obedient ones being raised in Wonderland.

There were those prairie dogs that loved being touched and loved people, but this one was different. Jin Ho was tense, watching Eun Woo pick it up.
“Be careful. It always tries to bite.”
“Really?”
It seems docile. Muttering so, Eun Woo looked it over.

But indeed, it was as docile as Eun Woo said. Usually, when Jin Ho tried to catch it, it would start acting up, how did it become so docile?
“Does it recognize faces, too?”
