“What I’m thinking right now is,” Eun Woo began, unbuckling his seatbelt and moving closer to Seol Hee.

“I find it adorable that Seol Hee is jealous, to the point that I feel like I’m going to die.”

Seol Hee blinked in response, her eyes wide.

She had certainly said something foolish. That day at the conference with Dr. Eun Woo, she had been irrationally irked upon seeing his junior, and had felt a childish jealousy.

Despite knowing they had a long-standing relationship and she certainly knew more about Eun Woo, Seol Hee was upset over something so trivial and had blurted it out to him.

However, instead of being annoyed, Eun Woo approached her with a smile. His fingers gently brushed her hair, and his lips moved closer.

Seol Hee knew what he intended to do.

And so, her heart raced with anticipation.

“Thump.”

As expected, his lips gently captured hers. They softly overlapped.

Warm and tender, like an unstoppable flame, his desire reached her.

It was strange.

Dr. Eun Woo, usually so cool and rational, seemed like a reptile at times.

She had even foolishly giggled at the thought that touching his skin might freeze her fingertips.

But he was hot. So hot it felt like he might burn her.

That’s how intense it was.

“Ah.”

Every touch with him made her burn. The shadow cast by him as he leaned in stretched long over her.

His nose brushed her cheek. In the dim light, the only thing that sparkled inside the car was the glint in Eun Woo’s eyes.

It’s insane.

In the car, doing such mischievous things.

She had never done such things even in her student days. Her relationship with him was filled with normalcy yet thrilling, sometimes even frightening.

As Eun Woo passionately kissed her, he suddenly pulled back. His lips, flushed red, glistened with saliva.

“Shall we go inside?”

To the house.

His words sounded dangerously alluring. Was it just her imagination?

Seol Hee could only nod in response.

Just 5 meters away.

Eun Woo’s house. Beyond the modest fence, they parked and walked just 5 meters to enter the house. But with her heart pounding, it felt like sprinting 100 meters.

Seol Hee’s hand was trapped in Eun Woo’s large one.

They entered through the gate, into the house. Eun Woo casually tossed his briefcase aside and turned around.

At that moment, Seol Hee bit her lip at the sight of him. His gaze on her was so intense, she wanted to make a silly joke just to lighten the air.

Such was the tension between them.

As Seol Hee fidgeted with her lips, Eun Woo spoke.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

Your face, revealed in the moonlight, is too breathtaking.

So much so that my heart feels like it’s about to burst.

She’d rather die than say such a thing. It was that embarrassing.

“Um…”

Just as she was about to make an awkward excuse.
The sound of a phone ringing loudly came from Eun Woo’s bag, carelessly tossed somewhere.

[Ringing] Rrrrrrr

Eun Woo’s grip on Seol Hee’s hand tightened slightly, as if he didn’t want to let go. Despite the persistent ringing, he merely glanced at the bag and continued to draw Seol Hee closer.

The phone stopped ringing after a few more tones.

Was it a relief?

The moment he took a step forward, ignoring the call, it started ringing again.

[Ringing] Rrrrrrr

Eun Woo’s elegant forehead wrinkled in annoyance. Finally, Seol Hee spoke up.

“Shouldn’t you answer the phone?”

“It’ll stop soon.”

It was Saturday, a day both Eun Woo and Seol Hee would typically be working. They had taken leave to attend the conference. On weekends, especially Sundays when the clinic was closed, it wasn’t uncommon for Eun Woo to receive calls about urgent cases, especially concerning the pets he regularly cared for.

“It could be the clinic.”

Eun Woo’s frown deepened.

[Ringing] Rrrrrrr

The phone continued its relentless ringing. Eventually, the hand they were holding separated.

“Just a moment.”

Eun Woo picked up his bag and took out his phone. The screen showed an unregistered number.

“Who could it be?”

After a moment’s hesitation, he answered the call.

“Hello?”

[Ringing] Hey, Eun Woo. You’re doing this? You’re in Jeju, right?

A rough, loud male voice.

The voice was so loud that Seol Hee could hear it, even though she wasn’t the one on the phone. Eun Woo’s expression darkened.

“Yeah.”

[Ringing] Why didn’t you contact me? You’re down in Jeju, at Grandma’s house.

“How did you know that…”

Eun Woo sighed, then covered the microphone and turned to Seol Hee.

“It’s family. Not the clinic.”

“Family?”

“Yes. My brother. I’ll hang up soon. Just rest.”

His annoyance was evident. Seol Hee quickly waved her hand.

“Don’t mind me, take your time with the call.”

Eun Woo reluctantly returned to his call.

Eun Woo’s brother, Sun Woo, was the complete opposite of Eun Woo. Where Eun Woo was always detached and taciturn, Sun Woo, in a good way, was fiery, and in a bad way, hot-tempered.

He valued family relationships and would make a fuss if he didn’t see Eun Woo while he was in Jeju.

Eun Woo had hoped to avoid him this time.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
