After returning home to avoid my disciple’s intimidating gaze, I spent the first part of the day without a single thought. But as evening approached, uneasy thoughts began bubbling up one by one.

‘Could he really know that I’m a woman?’

Before the regression, had my disciple ever seen me as a woman? He never showed the slightest hint of it. Even this time, he gave no such indication until the marriage talk came up.

I gave a vague reply and ate the pickles she’d left behind.

Later, just before bed, a good idea struck me as I saw Wol Seom, my maid, tidying my bedding—her hair neatly adorned with a simple hairpin.

‘Should I bring a feminine accessory in front of my disciple? If I watch his reaction, I might figure out whether he knows I’m a woman or not.’

To carry out this plan, the next morning, after paying my morning respects to my parents, I waited until I was alone with Mother and quietly made my request.

“Mother, could I borrow that hairpin with the little bell?”

“A hairpin? Why?”
