Technically, that was the conclusion—but summarizing it in one sentence made it sound rather shocking.

Hee Won silently watched his two teammates verifying all the documents he’d compiled.

Seung Joo and Seon Jin, who’d stayed late at the center, had just heard the entire series of incidents involving Na Eun and were furious.

Then, after reviewing the documents Hee Won handed them along with his previous theories, they wore expressions of disbelief.

“So Na Eun’s family company has been supplying weapons to those bastards all this time?”

There weren’t many government-licensed companies authorized to produce weapons domestically.

Both Seung Joo and Seon Jin knew Na Eun’s family belonged to one of the top conglomerates.

It wasn’t surprising at all that one of those few defense contractors happened to be an affiliate of Na Eun’s father’s company.

Seon Jin recalled a recent mission where she’d intercepted weapons being diverted behind the scenes.

She remembered how that contractor had smoothly handed over military supplies to them as if they’d had a secret agreement.

With a sigh, Seon Jin tossed the paper she’d been holding onto the table.

“So Na Eun’s dad was an accomplice to that organization? But how does it make sense that he got caught up and killed by them?”

Hee Won replied expressionlessly to Seon Jin’s reasonable argument.

“It doesn’t make sense. Chairman Yoon probably didn’t know his own company’s affiliate was involved in these covert operations.”
