Screams erupting from every corner and groans filled with pain were, to Seol Ah, little more than background noise in her life. So there was nothing particularly shocking about this moment.

After all, having spent her life constantly killing and tormenting others, she had long suspected her own end wouldn’t be a peaceful one—surrounded by grandchildren, gently closing her eyes in bed.

Thud! Thrown mercilessly by her enemy, she crashed onto the ground and immediately sensed that both legs—only recently healed a few weeks prior—had shattered again.

Oh dear. Seol Ah groaned inwardly, overwhelmed by the excruciating pain from her broken bones.

Her steps toward Seol Ah, already combat-incapacitated, were as grim and ominous as those of the Grim Reaper.

Soon, Seon Jin stood right beside Seol Ah sprawled on the ground and cast a cold glare through the gap between her hat and mask.

“How should I kill you?”

“Isn’t that line way too scary for a hero to say?”

Even in this sorry state, her mouth was still alive. Seon Jin silently cursed inwardly, glaring down with disgust at Lee Seol Ah, who lay on her stomach giggling.

Rage boiled within her at the sheer audacity of this would-be mass murderer, who had brazenly released a toxic gas into Seoul’s busiest underground shopping arcade, indiscriminately targeting both children and adults.

Though the plan had been thwarted beforehand and ultimately failed, the death toll would have been unimaginably high had it succeeded.

Did she really need to spare the life of someone who treated others’ lives so lightly? Seon Jin certainly didn’t want to.
