It was the first time I’d seen Jae Kyung cry.

He, who had always seemed more mature and composed than her, was now sobbing like a child and clinging to her—Na Eun felt both pity and a wave of guilt crashing over her.

For almost the first time since regaining consciousness, Na Eun woke up early in the morning and, following Jae Kyung’s advice, ate breakfast and drank tea as dessert.

Though the tea, which supposedly contained healthy medicine, tasted bitter and always left her feeling strangely uneasy, she diligently drank it, using the cookies Jae Kyung had brought as a sort of shield.

She did it because she believed getting better quickly and becoming healthy was the best thing she could do for Jae Kyung.
